Hoola you gorgeous people.

Today I learned that a thing on my website is borked  :'(

Obviously this makes a sad panda :(

But when I try to see how much it is broken, it seems OK.

Let me explain. Yesterday, or maybe the day before, I put a little facebook 'like' button on my website. I don't even use facebook, but there was room for another social media button since the Google+ button stopped functioning and I couldn't be bothered fixing it as nobody uses it (right?)

Anyway, today I was told that the facebook button on the left of my pages opens up a dialogue box off screen. But I've tried it in Safari, Chrome and Opera on Mac and it seems to work for me.

Can anyone who has a browser please visit one of the post pages and click on the facebook buttons on the left and see where the dialogue box opens? I'll even post a link to a page here so you don't have to click too much: http://www.eskimimimakes.com/2012/10/ne ... cking.html

Thank you, everyone with fingers xx

(PS - clicking the button won't 'like' something, I don't think. It just opens a box that will allow you to choose to like something. I think that's how it works, just in case you were worried your mates thought you liked knitting...) This proved not to be true. i assume you can unlike things afterwards?

Works fine here in Chromium - the pop-up appears as it should. However, it does automatically 'like' it once clicked.

The box does indeed open off the bottom of the page, right below the button for me (in Chrome).

On my facebook timeline I now have this:

Oops, I have edited the first post. I assume you can unlike things? Sorry. I guess it's because I don't have a FB account it just opens up a log-in window.

Though that stocking is ace, yes?

Er, thank you for testing it. I wonder if she just had a weird OS/browser combo, though she works in website development for Moo

Hmm, off the bottom of the page? I wonder why that's happening?

It happens because I click it. If I don't click it, it doesn't happen.

I clicked it and it opened up off the page in Chrome; scrolling did not bring it in view.

It looked like this:

Thanks, Bobby. Ok, I was finding it hard to visualise that, so seeing it makes it much, much clearer, so thank you. Ok, shall have a dig around the internet to see if I can find out why that happens.

Thanks xx

OK, I have kind of fudged a fix... perhaps.

If anyone with a broken version has the patience to try again I'd be very grateful to know if it at least opens on the screen. Otherwise I might have to change that little button container more fundamentally.
