I got my grades earlier and had to work out the average myself, but I just got an email that specifically says "distinction".

Now I need to get myself a training contract and properly start my life. Finally!

(A distinction is the equivalent to a First in degree speak, or an "A" I guess.)

Bunch of teenage kids laughed at me on my way to (The Co-Op - Ed) as I was wearing a cardigan. I then realized that I own 4 cardigans and they are my "not at work" clobber. I'm turning into the sartorial equivalent of Kissyfur.

First up, as your lass is away, you should go to a lap dancing club and tell the girl "I just passed my law exams". This is an A1 idea.

I'd like to think that if John Grisham chose to vary the formulaic nature of his books, which focus on a law student who had problems which delayed his studies, but against the odds passed with flying colours, and was immediately thrown into a massive high profile case against EvilMegaCorp and won against the odds - by making the lead character english, he'd call him Wogans Trouser Bulge.

I went for Lamont, and got 10, I was surprised, I thought it would be higher!

As for the woman, she said she wasn't sure if he was conservative, I suspect she couldn't think of anyone else, and remembered that he had been chancellor, so was worth a punt.

When Meats and Petes visited me last month we had a good chuckle about He-Man as good people are wont to do. During which I mentioned X-Entertainment's Modulok review having me in stitches some 12 years ago on his blog, and I just done founded it! http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0885/ S'not porn, promise. And as a bonus I found he'd launched a new site Dinosaur Dracula. Fresh.

Excellent find Dimrill! I loved X-entertainment but stopped reading it a while ago as it wasn't updated as often as I'd have liked.

Looks like I've got a new site to spend today reading then.

I notice a lot of the news sites keep mentioning the killer's attire, which reminds me of this rather important point.

Why am I getting a syntax error on the line "wbk.Close(SaveChanges:=False)"

Edit, It is saying "expected ="

Code:
Sub plotAll()

Dim fs As FileSearch
Dim i As Integer
Dim wbk As Workbooks

Set fs = Application.FileSearch

With fs
    .LookIn = ThisWorkbook.Path
    .fileName = "*.xls"
    For i = 1 To .Execute()
        Set wbk = Workbooks.Open(.FoundFiles(i))
        Call TimePlotter
        wbk.Close(SaveChanges:=False)
    Next i
End With
End Sub

Remove the brackets.

wbk.Close SaveChanges:=false

Hmm....

Dunno then! Some sort of oddity around nesting the close in a loop I guess.

Nope, I have tried a number of things, I am using Excel 2003 so its possible the function doesn't exist, but I can't even say wbk.Close().

Try taking the brackets off that?

Aren't you meant to put the file name into the workbooks object, though?

Code:
wbk = workbooks("lalala.xls")

Solved it - in my messing around I changed
Dim wbk As Workbook to Dim wbk As Workbooks
It works without the brackets. Thanks all.

What's with the use of parameter names in functions? Everyone seems to be doing it, and I've never seen it before people on this forum.

EXAMPLIZE!

Because all I'm getting from that is that you've never seen
Code:
function someFunction (someVariable) {...
before...
