Hey, there's no Sawastikas on that Tamiya box art! Was the box for your 109 the same, Mark?

Yes, Tamiya is a Japanese company. BUT they supply the models with swastika decals so why not show them on the box art? Was my point. Living on a prayer. Elton John.

If any of you have any 3D files, my mate has a 3D printer and would happily knock a few things out for you.
I'm not sure what they'd be like to paint, though.

It's a resin of some kind - and it's only hollow if the 3D model is hollow.

Whole new range of Citadel paints out now.

Do you use Citadel Gloss varnish for your moist bits, Dimrill?

Thought I'd be posting some more finished stuff over the weekend but beer and sunshine got in the way. I did glue together all my Tau stuff I've had sat around for ages. Most of it is base coated so shouldn't take too ling to finish. Man, those Tau battle suit feet are just plain wrong. Took a bit of thought in how to pose the legs and some scratch building on the base to get it looking half natural rather than a robotic chicken with rickets.

Looks like Citadel are replacing all their paints. 145 new colours incoming. Dunno whether they're the same hues re-badged with new names, or completely new.

Nope, looks like completely replacing them. All previous paints, foundations and washes are gone.

I know nothing about painting, but that strikes me as an odd thing to do. Why would a company do such a thing? surely it's just going to piss off any established userbase?

Aaaargh. Turns out watercolour panel wash is soluble in acrylic varnish.

Yes, I KNOW that should have been obvious. Sod OFF.

Z - if you need any swastikas, I've got a sheet that contains more of them than I'm ever likely to use. And yes, it WAS fun explaining that to my wife when it arrived through the post.

Yeah. Well there are different hues/tones of green but the paints won't explode on contact with the old stuff.

Much nicer than the GW versions but £36 seems a bit steep to me.

Actually, the new paints sound really, really good.

I think I'll be investing in the glazes and dry range at the very least.

They're a part of Games Workshop. Their factory/HQ is across the road from the GW one. They make more detailed, beautifuller models of sex that make you WANT THEM with their pure awesomeness. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/ It's more for nerdy adult collectors with more money than sense.
