I did wonder what Mr Dave meant there cause I'd only played Subsistence too. I didn't know the earlier version had a camera problem.

Edit: I was amused to read the other day that in the fight with the old chappie (The End was it? Or was it Cavey?) that you could save your game and leave it for a week and by the time you come back he'll be dead from old age.

Going cross country on public transport is a complete joke if you live in the south. If you don't need to get to london, you are fucked

Picked up my Beemer. 2 trains, 1 tube, 1 taxi ride, 2 and a half hours and £60 to go 50 miles.
It took me 50 minutes and about £10 in petrol to get home.

A strange thing happened to me today...I had a dream last night about a teacher I used to have, she truly was my nemesis at school - I'd like to think I played a part in her taking early retirement - Anyway, the dream was fucked up and I have only seen her in passing 2 or 3 times since she retired, over 12 years ago. Until today....When she was in the queue behind me at the supermarket. What a bizarre coincidence.

East-west is shit no matter how far up or down the country you live.

Even up here where Liverpool and Manchester are linked by multiple train routes, they operate with stupid intervals and end-of-days, and so on.

Today I have been asked how to spell "actioned" (I told them it's not a real word) and "Karaoke".

I am the most intelligent person here, and I don't say that to boast. It's because the general level of competency is so low.

My boss was also looking through CVs and he said that people shouldn't put their date of births on there as it's "something to do with age discrimination". He then went on to say that the guy who HAS put his date of birth on his CV has used it to his advantage because he was born in 1983, therefore he's young and will get an interview.

Partly as I find long distance sniper battles in a jungle about as much fun as being bummed by a raging baboon.

Modern PS3 isn't feature-poor so much as the original PS3 was feature-insane for a console.

Not aimed at you specifically, young sir, I meant all those posts discussing the the pitfalls of certain A roads in South Manchester/North Cheshire, hence the leading dots above your quoted post. It gave me quite a mental giggle, particularly as there was confusion about which actual bit of road was being discussed.

Perhaps it wasn't Harry Enfield, but there was a sketch on a comedy show where a couple of guys went on ad-naseum about the problems of getting from A to B using a variety of A and B roads, (in Devon iirc) with their relative merits. A sort of road geek skit.
