I did wonder what Mr Dave meant there cause I'd only played Subsistence too. I didn't know the earlier version had a camera problem.

Edit: I was amused to read the other day that in the fight with the old chappie (The End was it? Or was it Cavey?) that you could save your game and leave it for a week and by the time you come back he'll be dead from old age.

Kojima hasn't got a fucking clue has he?

Going cross country on public transport is a complete joke if you live in the south. If you don't need to get to london, you are fucked :D

Picked up my Beemer. 2 trains, 1 tube, 1 taxi ride, 2 and a half hours and £60 to go 50 miles.
It took me 50 minutes and about £10 in petrol to get home.

A strange thing happened to me today...I had a dream last night about a teacher I used to have, she truly was my nemesis at school - I'd like to think I played a part in her taking early retirement - Anyway, the dream was fucked up and I have only seen her in passing 2 or 3 times since she retired, over 12 years ago. Until today....When she was in the queue behind me at the supermarket. What a bizarre coincidence.

Quick - were there any number combinations in the dream - i'm looking for 6 unique ones between 1 and 49 :-)

East-west is shit no matter how far up or down the country you live.

Even up here where Liverpool and Manchester are linked by multiple train routes, they operate with stupid intervals and end-of-days, and so on.

I don't know about that, the number 69 featured quite heavily at one point, though.

Not a good lottery number - if we're talking about co-incidences then my current tileset in a WWF game just came up as

I dunno, both Edinburgh-Glasgow and Cardiff-London are decent (even if the latter is operated by Worst Late Western)

Two, but even the express service takes an hour.

Today I have been asked how to spell "actioned" (I told them it's not a real word) and "Karaoke".

I am the most intelligent person here, and I don't say that to boast. It's because the general level of competency is so low.

My boss was also looking through CVs and he said that people shouldn't put their date of births on there as it's "something to do with age discrimination". He then went on to say that the guy who HAS put his date of birth on his CV has used it to his advantage because he was born in 1983, therefore he's young and will get an interview.

I had another fun and productive day. When we move properly, a week on Monday, it'll be dead good as it is a half hour walk to work. Boss was very impressed with my 1337 skills and how I didn't turn the server off .

How many PS2 games and SACDs do you use in it, though? I upgraded [1] a launch model to a slim and was very happy. I never used any if the things I lost (memory card slots and extra USB ports being other features you didn't mention) but the new one is a lot quieter.

I play more PS2 games than PS3 (disc-based) ones, to be honest. The SACDs are my girlfriend's, and are Depeche Mode :spew: but, hey, it's a nice feature to have even if not used much. The Slim PS3 just looks like a terrible downgrade to me.

You had a sex dream about a female teacher you hated who reached retirement age 12 years ago?!

I...well...erm. Fuck. Whatever! She took early retirement, she wasn't even 50! That really does make it any better does it. Damnit. And and and...I can't help what I dream about.

Is that the one you can soup up by adding things to the front of it? Loved that one, the Type-R Leo especially.

Modern PS3 isn't feature-poor so much as the original PS3 was feature-insane for a console.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. But this is Kissyfur we're talking about, so I'm not totally thunderstruck or anything.

Heh.

It was for three reasons, in varying contributions:

(1) I wanted to change my name, and the new eggbox came with a free gold subscription so I did that rather than pay to change on the old one.

(2) I couldn't remember any of the account details for the old one.

(3) I'm a big ol' belmer.

All that other road stuff ...........................

Google Maps is missing (Street View, which I just used to trace it, has it) that the M56 West -> M6 North loop has an exit onto the A50, up to the double roundabout half a mile away that does have an exit onto the southbound M6.

Still stupid, though.

...........

Fuck me, that was the BETEO equivalent of the Harry Enfield 'what are you driving these days' sketch.

But yes, the transition from Princess Parkway (the A5103) to the M56 is a dodgy bit of road. Been using it regularly recently, on my way for sex in Macclesfield and 'adult skills' in Congleton.

Not aimed at you specifically, young sir, I meant all those posts discussing the the pitfalls of certain A roads in South Manchester/North Cheshire, hence the leading dots above your quoted post. It gave me quite a mental giggle, particularly as there was confusion about which actual bit of road was being discussed.

Perhaps it wasn't Harry Enfield, but there was a sketch on a comedy show where a couple of guys went on ad-naseum about the problems of getting from A to B using a variety of A and B roads, (in Devon iirc) with their relative merits. A sort of road geek skit.

No offence meant.

Not this time, no, although it IS a pain in the arse. No one wants to do it. I had 24 addresses to try and I only managed to get 6 to participate. It's a pity, because the ones who did it quite enjoyed it.

Most country songs these days seem to be about city girls in their import convertibles turning up on single-and-rugged good ole boy's farm trying to find their way to town/back to the interstate and falling for his vest-clad sweaty grunting hairy masculinity.
