So, I've got about twenty people coming over for a party tonight. What shall I cook them for dinner?

I thought about chilli, but I did that last year, and anyway, I'd rather have something that you didn't have to sit down at a table to eat.

Any ideas? Or should I just stick to buffet-style food?

Make scotch eggs. They're a fiddle but they're delicious and your friends will have a new found respect for you thanks to your industry. DO IT

Fajitas.

A nice big stir fry of spicy chicken strips, then separate bowls of mixed peppers, chillis, sour cream, guacamole, etc. A plate full of flour tortillas and let them make their own as spicy or as soft as they like.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. It's still a bit sit-downy, though.

Hide all your chairs.

I must admit. I hate eating standing up. If I came to your party and you forced me to sit down and eat something, I'd appreciate it.
