Why isthe subtitle shorter than the title? anyway:

Code:
http://www.youhavedownloaded.com/

Quote:
You Have Downloaded is a new site that claims to know what files you've been torrenting—and it makes all of that information public to anyone who searches for it.

If you visit the site yourself, You Have Downloaded will look up your IP and display any torrents it's managed to scrape that are associated with you. If you change your IP regularly or have a dynamic IP, it may not have anything on you—or at least nothing recent—but if you've had the same IP for a while and do a lot of downloading, it's possible they have at least some record of you. The folks behind the site claim they're watching 20% of all public tracker downloads and they're expanding to keep track of more, which means if you're not on the site now, you may be soon.

I don't use torrents, so get nothing, but I wonder if it a site only works once you click on it, or works for all people in the world ever? hmmm.

This is a bit like those sting operations where the police invite people with outstanding warrants on to a "game show"

By default a torrent download is also effectively a torrent upload, though.

By default. Do they have a list of who has the default settings on and who doesn't? No, because they're shit.

No, but they do know if your IP is sending out packets of content.

People have a right to enjoy the creative efforts of others without compensating them for it, though. And then complain when no more indie films or games get made as it's just not paying the bills.

Don't lots of things use P2P though, like iPlayer desktop and Warcraft and so on?

p2p != BitTorrent from a pirate tracker.

I still don't get what folk are worried about. If they log your IP so what? If you download a torrent you're broadcasting it to every cunt anyway. Them having it on a list is irrelevant.

Hi. We have no records on you.
This means you are using a private torrent tracker or, of course, you may not be a torrent user at all! It happens. Please, entertain yourself. Feel free to see what other people have downloaded. The search box is on the top. If you have any friends who use torrents, use it to scare them off. We also have a widget that you can install in your website, blog or Facebook page. Or you can just send them a link to this site. They will see a table similar to what you see below. The only difference — they will see their downloads.

Well, you are in the clear. But look what others do

65.242.190.23
66.31.230.131
71.204.87.47
77.248.223.157
79.14.217.107

Some files that people have downloaded

virtualpool.apk (26.60 MB)
How To Study - The 20 Ste ... e {H33T}{projectmyskills} (1.13 MB)
The.Reunion.2011.DVDRip.XviD-playXD (711.85 MB)
Big Data Glossary By Pete Warden.epub (2.72 MB)
Winning Body Language - C ... Without Saying A Word.pdf (1.66 MB)

I can't remember the last time I used torrents. Hell, I don't even have torrent software on this machine.

I am under the impression that at this time of year an omniscient being is making a list of who's been naughty or nice. Presumably this is part of how he checks it twice.

I didn't know Virtual Pool was available on Android, and now I know what file name to look for as well. Cheers Anti-Piracy guys. :metul:
