I suppose it's only really effective if you're holding the tip of the sword at the opponent's breast, as it'd be a bugger to aim otherwise.

Squall and Seifer managed it.

I fully expect you'll end up there in disguise while running the office from your phone with hilarious consequences. You will also fall in love with a poor street dancer from the wrong side of the tracks.

I've always thought that Seven was a masculine name.

cf. Seinfeld and my own work c. 1994

"half past seven!"

How much difference is my spending 20-30 minutes a few times a week on a rowing machine going to make on a 'loose the belly' front? I can't be arsed going to the gym, running or going outside. I figure a £70 rowing machine might do some good.

Save £70 and do some sit ups.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
The fact that you don't want to do sit ups after reading that means you will not lose the belly. Aaaaah!

I'd be tempted to put the money towards a Kinect and the EA Sports Active thingy - although it'd probably cost up to £100 all in. I had a rowing machine for a while and I soon got bored of it.

Not much. You can expect to burn about 600 kcal per hour, depending on your bodyweight and how vigorously you go for it. So you might burn off about 1200 kcal per week, or which is weight loss of about half a pound a week. In contrast, there's 280 kcal in a Mars Bar, so cutting four Mars Bars worth of food out of your diet each week have the same effect.

Don't exercise to lose weight. Exercise to feel fitter.

I don't think a rowing machine would be that good for your belly.

Sit ups and not home brewing would be a better start.

Oh yeah, that's another way to look at it: 1200 kcal is less than seven pints per week.

Been doing my work, and I found this on wikipedia:

Quote:
divine inc, was a Chicago-based company that started out as an Internet Incubator named divine interVentures (The name was changed after several people pointed out that it was very close to divine-interventions.com, a company that sells religious sex toys). The company was founded by Andrew 'Flip' Filipowski in 1999.

Like many other "dot-com" companies, divine had many tales of excess. The board of directors once had over forty members and included luminaries such as NBA star Michael Jordan. divine was one of the last Internet companies of this era to go public. Their much-ballyhooed IPO in July, 2001 landed with a resounding thud and never closed more than a few percent above the initial offering price.

I once impressed friends with being able to get the Golf to turn it's headlights on from 500 metres away in a carpark, thanks to the "welcome home" feature combined with fresh batteries in the key.

Conclusion - buy a Golf and ensure you have fresh batteries in the key zapper, Then go to the carpark at night, climb on top of a car and start zapping.

You have to use your hands?

Shoddy apple build quality, seriously, they should know 90% of their users are in coffee shops.

Do you mean the keyboard doesn't work? At all, or parts of it?

You could just use a USB keyboard and mouse. Any household insurance?

I've checked, and the keyboard input is very scrambled, e.g. typing "mouse" results in "iortj". So not completely fucked, just, err, messed up input.

Zardoz wrote:

USB keyboard as a temporary measure, used, by German female. Not much help preserving the portability aspect of the computer she needs though. Not actually sure about the insurance; will definitely ask her when she's awake.

Err, bit late now, damn the caffeinated Pepsi Max I consumed earlier. Night night everyone. :)

I must be getting your sleep then. 10:30 til 6am last night. The 10:30 til midnight stretch on the sofa in front of movie hence my very painful neck this morning.
