The correct way to enjoy a pineapple is to lop it's heid off, mash up it's insides a bit, then fire a load of rum into it. Keep topping up the rum & mash it a bit more when you do :D

This thread is awesome.

I like peanut butter, it is deliciousness inna jar. I like it best on cream crackers but you need lots of juice to help with that. Whatever you do, don't try to aide swallowing with help of a fizzy drink, especially not diet coke r Dr. Pepper as those drinks are probably 80% fizz. All that happens is the drink fizzes more, it doesn't quench your thirst or help your dry mouth. You will then choke and die on a mixture of crackers, peanuts and bubbles. Not the best thing to have written on your death certificate, I think you'll agree.

Isn't it wonderful how someone can be correct and oh so wrong at the same time, very correct with regards to not drinking Diet coke or Dr Pepper to aid in anything, but wrong on the point of eating Peanut butter :spew:

Peanut butter is lovely (crucnhy best) as is pineapple on pizza.

That rum idea sounds terrific, but does anyone else find that pineapples they buy always go a bit mouldy on the bottom (outside) before they're properly ripe? Is most distressing.

We have all manner of ridiculous pickles and chutneys in the cupboard at home, but Branston is a solid everyday sandwich pickle, no mistake.

Jams, pickles, ketchup, etc. Do you keep them in the fridge or the cupboard? I can't stand cold ketchup, but I do keep open jams in the fridge.

I always get caught out by the "use within 'x' days/weeks/months"....I always forget and at the time, I am usually so overcome by sandwich lust that I don't have the presence of mind to write on the jar when I opened it. Then I come to use it again and I struggle to think how long it has been there and wonder if it'll kill me if I eat it or whether I should throw it out.

Usually I open a new jar of whatever for me and use up the old one for Ramseas sarnies instead. I don't think it's done him any harm but it is quite difficult to tell.....

I've never even thought of labelling when I've opened a jar. 8)

If I can see mould on it, I scrape the mould off and continue with the jar's contents.

How you aren't all dead I don't know. I keep opened jars in the fridge, but I don't eat jam, and I don't really like ketchup/sauce/things that make all if your food taste the same, so perhaps not such an issue for me.

I can't believe anyone would spoon out mouldy jars and eat the rest!
