My monitor is flickering, making artefact lines and all sorts of video related errors.
Its an Acer, purchased Sept 2009. I dont have an extendy warranty, or the original box/manuals to my knowledge.
Does anyone know what rights I might have? Seems a bit early for it to bite the biscuit :(

thanks

Note: this coming in the same week as my vacuum dies and my boiler needs a service, great.
That'll be my bonus spent then before I've been paid it...

You should be able to get it repaired for free under the Sale of Goods Act - the reasonable expectation with an LCD monitor is that it should last well over 18 months. You should contact the place you bought it from. Alternatively, Acer probably provide a 2 year warranty anyway, so you could contact them directly.

Just done some more digging and found the product on the Acer website, seems there is 3yr warranty on these.
So hopefully that should see me right

I'd get in touch with Acer anyway, you might have more joy.

Yes, this. However, I have learned my lesson.

After it taking over 30 mins of try and fail to get a working number of Acer, they have agreed to repair for free, i just have to call UPS for them to come get. Brills.

I think it's to do with the new bits and bobs thread title.
