I joined a new band last week, The Taser Puppets. They are a bit silly.

http://www.myspace.com/taser0

I hope to be introducing them to decent graphic design and good quality recording.

Mrs Chinny's mate was in that. Haven't seen it properly but walked into the room and saw her on the show.

No idea, not seen it properly yet. When I walked in she was talking to Roy across a table.

I know that a 'Natural' food product implies a certain amount of randomness of content, but Pret 'Super Natural' orange juice always has too much, or very few juicy bits in it. A little balance would make my life a happier place.

You'd think there'd be a site selling all the shirts that Roy wears in The IT Crowd, even knock off ones. But not that I can find.

To me, that sounds like a floppy drive power connector. I'd have thought that even nowadays most PSUs would come with at least some kind of adapter for that.

Rentokil are quoting us £260+VAT to bugbomb the whole flat, which would mean that us, the three cats, the hamster and the spiders would have to be out of the flat while it's being done. How the hell we transport that many things somewhere else while the bugbomb is working, I don't know.

Ouch. If they're only/mostly in the kitchen can't you try to get rid of them yourself first?

GJ's pc has died. Motherboard light is green and case display still works (I tried disconnecting it, but it had no effect).
Should I even bother looking beyond the PSU (which is so ancient it's got an extra socket to plug in a monitor 8) )?

Perhaps I should have just checked first.
I've taken the psu from another pc and that seems to work fine, but the case has some kind of display on it (time, temps, that sort of stuff), which is actually built into the case and is powered by a 3 pin plug coming off the psu, which I'm fairly sure is the first time I've ever seen a plug like it on a psu. Is this some sort of custom came-with-the-case psu, or am I just mis-remembering the kind of plugs you get on psus (it's a flat plug like an IDE power connector, but with only 3 holes)?

The problem is summed up by the first word of your post.

I should probably give the first two a go at some point considering I've had them for months. Instead, I tried out Stoked at the weekend, a snowboarding game, and gave up during the tutorials when the camera shifted to the side view and refused to reset.

No :(

But we've not finished GoW2 yet anyway! I still need a co-op run through of the deleted scene. Preferably in the Kill the Bastards version of events so I can get two birds stoned or something.

But if you follow that chain to its logical conclusion, you'll end up with an animal you can only deal with by having Craster eat it. And nobody wants Craster in their home.

We're boys, Dimmers, but man I can't believe anyone likes the IT Crowd. The trails were decent (Poison song on them), but it just looked like Linehan wanted to see how bad a show he could write and still get it on telly.

It may have improved since the early days, but I've admittedly not been watching. Boosh isn't great, but at least episodes like The Ballad of Milky Joe were excellent.

I hated the IT Crowd at first as well. It seemed like a lazy rehash of Black Books (though admittedly Black Books went sharply downhill after the brilliant first series, and I hope it doesn't come back without Linehan again) without the jokes (or with the same jokes at times).

But, and I don't know how, I suddenly 'got' it after giving it another chance once. I think the problem is that a lot of the 'jokes' really aren't funny, but most episodes spend every scene building up to one or two terrific moments right near the end that make it worthwhile.

:wrong: Black Books was always great.

Don't get me wrong, it was still good by the end of the third series, but up until then it had been great, and before that, it was utterly brilliant - The Grapes of Wrath is one of the best pieces of comedy I've ever seen. The quality trailed after Linehan left, basically. The writing lost a lot of its subtlety, and the whole thing started getting too wacky and "random", rather than just being gently, naturally mad.

I saw the first series of IT crowd, it was humorous enough. I saw an episode of Boosh the other night. I didn't find it funny, it just seemed silly, but I get the feeling I ws missing a lot of running gags.
