Neither of those look anything like an IDE power cable with only 3 pins (as opposed to 4 holes).

I've had "There's No Easy Way Out" by Robert Tepper stuck in my head for the last two days and it's driving me fucking MAD.

There is one easy way out ( ;) ): you have to play the tune from beginning to end in your head. It's the only thing that works for me when a tune gets stuck. Well that and large amounts of booze.

Actually the insects that eat spider mites will go cannibal after they are all gone and eat each other until there is just one fat one left which you should be able to squash easily or just let him waddle around stuffed until he pops his clogs.

Oh, and, maaan, isn't F-Zero GX one massively hard bastard of a game? Lovely graphics, still impressive all these years later, but it's phenomenally tough. Still a thrilling game, though.

I gave Wave Race Blue Storm a play beforehand. It's not crap or anything, but unsettlingly mediocre. Wave Race 64 had such a subtle-but-deep control system, all you needed was the 3D stick and the A button; WR:BS is just over-complicated and doesn't feel half as satisfying to play. The presentation is awfully Americanised too. :(

:this:
Both Wave Race 64 and 1080 are wonderfully simple games to get into and play. Blue Storm isn't a patch on the original and I've not enjoyed a snowboarding game as much as 1080 (Avalanche wasn't bad though) as there's always a heavy emphasis on doing complex tricks all the bloody time instead of just bombing down a mountain, dodging trees and looking for a good line down the course.

Microsoft adcentre is so slow and fiddly. Yes, it has more features than adwords interface but it's so so so painfully slow.

And to ad insult to injury, if you leave it on the default language setting of "English - USA" your adverts won't display in the UK and you have to delete the campaign and start again.

Microsoft really do have some geniuses working for them.......

How the fuck do Zavvi consistently manage to make things take so long to arrive? They use the same postal system as everyone else yet never have I had anything arrive from them quicker than four days after they said they sent it. Useless tosspots, I want my game >:|

I have - I've bought plenty of games from them for 'cheap' and they arrived.

The only one I had any type of problem with was my pre-order (for Red Ded), which took forever to get here (5 days since they said 'posted') but for most of their other stuff (especially stuff from their monday offers) I have ordered on the Sunday and its arrived by the Wednesday - which for 'free' postage seems acceptable to me.

They're very hit-and-miss. I've had some pre-orders arrive a day before release, but have had to wait up to four extra days in the past for some items. If I'm desperate to get a game on release now, I just go to ShoptTo.net and suck up any extra cost.

Donkey forced to fly behind speedboat in sick Russian parasailing stunt.

After several paragraphs of condemnation, the Daily Mail invites the viewer to "watch the shocking video".

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1296210/Flying-donkey-shocks-Russian-beachgoers-parasailing-firms-sick-stunt.html?ITO=1490

"Isn't it disgusting, look at the donkey in the air, it's disgusting, I'll just watch a little more, disgusting, sick, oooh, look how high he is."

Well viewers, I'm happy to say that I actually resisted the temptation to watch, but can you? :attitude:

We're not allowed to pick theme tunes after the great BEEX theme tune disaster of 2008 where we nominated this as our official theme tune.

My to do list today;

1) Finish a script I have been working on for 8 years now.
2) Book Vasectomy

I managed both so have had a small window of euphoria followed by a period of mourning.

Now to finish the short story for the BEEXBOOK and then the book I've been working on for a mere 4 years.

Then more mourning.

Oh can we have an advance preview, Trousers?

Wouldn't mind looking at the script too.

What is it about? Genuinely interested.

Oh can we have an advance preview, Trousers?

Wouldn't mind looking at the script too.

What is it about? Genuinely interested.

Badoom-tish.

Sitcom script I've been working on off and on with a mate since forever. The not very-good-ness of this season's IT Crowd made me go back to it and I managed to get a couple of extra scenes in there which actually made me laugh and made sense in the context of the episode and the potential series arc.

I realised yesterday having seen talk of Black Books on here that I really really want Tamsin Greig to be the main character. Someone get me her number ta.
