...this dojo.

Behold, the hardest video game ninjas of all time. Except for the crap cutesy platform character. And the obligatory hawt ninja babes.

I was going for a bright-eyed Your Sinclair vibe with this piece. I'm not sure that I succeeded. Anyway, a bonus point to whoever can name which game the first pic belongs to.

I've got a feeling that it's the front cover of the box for The Last Ninja on the Amiga, which was The Last Ninja 2, but just called The Last Ninja Remix.

Correct, except Ninja Remix was a remake of The Last Ninja, not The Last Ninja 2. No bonus points for you.

I always thought of Raikoh from Otogi as a Ninja, but the internet classes him as a Warrior.

Also: No Ninja Blade? The guy can surf on missiles fercrisakes!

I still think the best ninja is Contemplating Ninja. Basically, play Ninja Garden and leave the bloke facing a wall, his back to the camera. He will stand motionless, contemplating the futility of life, until the end of time itself. It is really quite beautiful.

I read that as Ninja Garden Leave, the flop follow-up where Hyabusa is made redundant.

The internets verdict is split on Yoshi.

For the sake of me being right though, he is.

Wha? No Second Samurai?!

Clicked around on the site that did this list, did anybody spot the 'Most Over-rated Games of 2008' list by them?

This about MGS4 - seem familiar?

Quote:
As one particularly disgruntled gaming veteran put it: “There are things worse than death, and that includes wading through nine hours of wannabe-Z-movie cutscenes of dribbling nonsense written by an overindulged Japanese scifi nerd for the occasional brief snippet of video game.”

The quote links to WoS with a big picture of Stu. Tcha. We need a big pic of Sinister Agent, if only to stop me imagining him as a small boy being thrashed with a school ruler like in some Barry Hines novel or Ken Loach film.

I thought we had a copy of that on THE SITE. I can't even find it on the forum now.

[edit]That's because Sinister didn't actually write that bit.

Umm.... yeah... YEAH. There was a ninja in Second Samurai, he followed your main dude round and did half the killing himself against baddies just off screen. You just didn't see him because... uh, he was like a l33t ninja, yeah, that's it. It's not at all due to me being a bit tired from late nights, oh no.

Ninjas can wear what they want, act how they want. It's about the kill not the honor code.

But thats the point... a ninja can wear anything he or she wants, and use any weapons he or she wants.

Ninja's didn't really wear Kabuki theatre stagehand outfits, you know.
