If Rockstar have got their hands on it, I'm quite happy, since Remedy have been doing Max Payne 3/Alan Wake for the last 716 years now - wasn't it supposed to be one of the first DX10 games?
Remedy Silent About Alan WakeQuote:
Surprise surprise, Remedy cannot comment on Alan Wake. The game that has been in development since man first learned to walk upon his hind legs has no news that can be shared with us. The world spins off its axis in shock.
"I can not tell you anything about Alan Wake right now, not even progress on Alan Wake," claims Oskari Häkkinen, head of franchise development. Whether or not that means an announcement is being saved for an upcoming event, or there's simply nothing to say, is anybody's guess. Those predicting an announcement at GDC this week may be disappointed, however.
At least one interesting tidbit is that the game has been compared to Silent Hill. Remedy says, there is a heavy focus on atmosphere, story and puzzle solving. That said, the game will contain no zombies. Considering how undead-heavy the current crop of games has been, that's something of a relief.
Still, this lack of anything substantial concerning Alan Wake is annoying. Right now, the game is outstaying its welcome, like a guy who's turned up at a party and is just standing in the corner, eyeballing everybody while contributing nothing.
Destructoid do good funnehs.
