Hi, err, quick question, there's some stains on the 10th, 6th and 2nd step and at the bottom of the stairs, there's some broken glass in the carpet, is there a good way to get rid of this? Also, does anyone know of a quiet canal, as I'm planning a boating holiday. Thanks in advance.

blu tack is good for glass in the carpet.

I seem to recall that you need to use an alchomohol based cleaner or the stains still show up when sprayed with Luminol. Just in case, y'know, someone comes around to, err... look.

I did a canal boat holiday once around Birmingham (Drayton Manor Park even has a canal dock entrance, and the bit under spaghetti junction is actually quite nice). Worst bit is you can tell you are nearing B'ham itself, as about 10 miles out is a 100m stretch of canal that is just dead fish foating around, and from there on in the water is brown...

Wrap the carpet around any heavy object and dispose of it somehow, it's the best way.

I'd imagine gaffer would be good as well. I often use it to defluff clothing before I go to meetings.

Give me £350 and a pint of beer, and I'll clear up your stains, broken glass and even prepare your "boating holiday" for you.

I will echo Gazchap's offer, but demand only travel expenses and £150.

Also, what you want is ether. Possibly.

By 'quiet' do you mean with as few locks as possible, or are you after scenic beauty?

I think he means with as few passers-by as possible.

See, MaliA, this sounds like a good deal. But remember - sinister agent prefers to travel by airplane so expenses are high, and think of the carbon footprint. You'll be damaging the Earth.

Whereas I'm going to be in your neck of the woods on Saturday anyway.

Wow, Shin really is great! After digging the hole if she then hits herself over the head with the shovel, she'll have practically done the job for us! It'll be pure profit, I tells ya!

MaliA, a specialist cleaning squad can be had for free using the government's own scheme.

Simply tell them your address and what needs doing, and they'll usually be there in under 20 minutes.

The number is 999.

I suspect that MaliA has done something naughty and there is more to this than meets the eye!
