Part of the company I work for does qualitative research (which means (broadly) talking face to face to people in depth) and lately they've been talking to students about the government. When discussing the next UK elections, the students are clearly confused about the election process, with something like 40% of them thinking that our election process was the same as the American process, and a small number (around 5%) thinking that we've just about to fucking have an election (or had one, by now).
WTF?

Apparently on the Scott Mills show yesterday morning quite a few young British people seemed to think they had a vote in the US election.

Remember everyone, most people are stupid and will simply do as they are told. I work in a University and I've seen student when presented with 'push' door with a really big, colourful sign at eye level saying 'push', stand and forlornly pull at a door for a good 20 seconds.
