Croatia/Denmark - One of those matches where you wish it was possible for both teams to go out.

Wellity, wellity, wellity. Who thought Japan stood a chance against Belgium, then?

Amazing. I turn it on, Belgium are 2-0 down. I actually pegged them to win it. I was stunned they were losing, but before I even had time to think about it 2-2.

That last goal? I actually clapped. Brilliant. This really is one of the best world cups I can think of.

Bit gutted for Japan. They had the game under control until the two substitutions. Once Belgium got a goal back, Japan started to panic and then tire. Not sure Japan would have got through extra time without conceding so they could have done with getting something from that free kick at the end.

I think something happened in the second half and Belgium realised how good they were. When I had a quick look over the teams at the start I remember thinking "Bloody hell Belgium have a good squad".

The subs were a fantastic move too, really brought the whole team to life. I do feel kinda bad for Japan, but as a neutral watching what a game !

I really wanted to like the World Cup in SA, but that fucking noise stopped me watching games. It was like one of those kid's toys that are fun for about ten seconds, then just drive you crazy.

Hmmm, all the possession, but no chances created.
Sterling is running around like a velociraptor, but unfortunately has the passing ability of one too.

Meet Brazil in the final, get embarrassed 6-0? I'd take that.

I swear to fucking Christ, that post-game interview with Southgate the sodding cameraman couldn’t focus on his face. The only thing in focus were the bloody sponsors behind him. Pathetic.

Blimey, just saw the clip of that cheating twunt digging shit out of the penalty spot.

Gotta say, very professional of our lot not to say what cheating filth they were. Well, Hoddle did stick a sly boot in at the end..

When I was 11 Maradona knocked England out with his hand of God. When I was 15 Germany knocked England out on Penalties. When I was 21 I was assured football was coming home. It did not. I spent the next decade watching the golden generation fail. Then I watched some dross for another decade. Now, I have hope, no expectations, just hope. Hope is what gets you. But I still believe. I still believe. It's coming home, it's coming home, it's coming, football's coming home.
