Bill Roach is not who I thought ‘Bill Roach’ was. I thought it was one of the two guys with big moustaches in early series of The Bill.

Edit: one of these guys. I think the one on the right, who I think is perhaps dead.

This guy is Ted Roach, which is why I’m getting confused. Bill and Ted (Roach). Though Ted is dead.

Edit: no, Ted Roach is the name of the character, who is dead. The actor is called Tony Scannell, and he’s still alive.

I killed Tosh.

(May not be entirely true. However on the night that England played Netherlands in Euro 96, it was the day of my last A level exam and we went camping in Ashbourne and went to the town to watch the game. Sat in a pub and tucked into beers and Tosh and his missus came in and sat with us and we all got pretty leathered. He died 2 years later, apparently a lapsed recovered alcoholic, who had started drinking again recently. The woman with him in the pub, but his mistress. However the story back home went that he ordered an orange juice when he walked in the bar but I ordered beers for the whole table when it was my round.)

As with most cancers, pretty terminal if you catch it late. Pretty good prognosis for Fry though, as they found it during a regular check up.

This is why all men 50 and over should have regular screenings.

The treatment and the side effects of the treatment can be pretty brutal too. Chemo in that region is likely to cause incontinence (from both ends, so wear a nappy) and your penis isn’t going to work properly on your gender(s) of choice. It might not be so bad for older gents (the latter, that is) but in young patients it’s pretty devastating.

Fry had surgery instead of chemo, but he's said he has to have radiotherapy if it comes back.

Unusual to not do any chemo or radio as well.

Yeah it's left to the patient to decide. I remember Kerry was offered chemo after surgery as belt and braces. She took it, but it was pretty horrible. It increased her chances of it not coming back from about 75% to 90-something so it's down to the individual and what they want.

Well that's one less arsehole in the world, at least.

EDIT - I used to boycott OCUK because of him, and urged everyone I know to do the same.

Founder of OCUK and quite probably the most hated racist man ever in the world of tech dies of heart failure.

"A kind and loving man". Who can forget threads such as "Why do P**s stink?"

That’s a weird news article. It’s just ‘man dies’. It doesn’t mention that he’s a notable man in any way, other than being a multi-millionaire, but I don’t think that’s particularly remarkable these days, is it?
