A colleague and I were just talking about a game but I can't remember what it was called. Can anyone help?

All we remember is that it's a platform game with a central tower that rotates. You play a small 'thing' (possibly with big feet?) and you have to make your way to the top of the tower. I have a feeling that things came out of windows to stop you.

The central tower stays in the middle of the screen with it rotating while your character stays central too.

I think it was on the Amiga and Atari ST.

Any ideas?

If your friend is not in the UK they may know it as either Tower Toppler or Castelia

The console version was called Castelian for some reason.

Written by someone with the same name as me. I think he also did Hewson's 'Eliminator' as well.

I had that, and this thread made me think of it too! You had to keep going up to get a better view of things to absorb, right?

Yep, you could absorb trees when you could see any of the tile on which they stood.
I'd have thought this would be a pretty decent title to remake on a tablet as the mechanic is quite well suited to a touch screen.

I spent a lot of time with that on the C64 , basically you had to absorb trees for energy to build blocks to transport your robot to so you got above the sentinel to absorb them.

A really well put together puzzle stealth game

Didn't they do a remake for the PS1? I think I have it.

The Sentinel was quite tense and had a bit of an unsettling atmosphere and feel to it. I didn't play it back in the 8/16 bit era, but I did have a go with a more recent version just a few years ago.

Googling turns up this iOS remake: 'Capita' but that's not the one that I remember. Maybe there's more (or maybe it was on an emulator or something - I can't really remember TBH)
