I was looking at a 30 day trial of this as Echo will read books and my son keeps asking it for a story.

Its says that £7.99pm gets you one book, and if you don't like it you can exchange it.

What I want is to be able to just get lots of books in a month (no issue with one at a time) as my son loves his stories

Don't really care about owning any.

Will it let you book them in and out like this?

You need to go to the building that has 1,000 stories, and no elevator.

Unless I'm incredibly mistaken (and I hope I'm not as I'd have been missing out), you can't do this. You can either buy books for cash-money or use your free monthly credit to buy them. And the books are pretty pricey, tbh. You often get a discount if you own the kindle version, however.

Kindle unlimited means you get access to any book that comes with an Audible book, if that helps

Joined the 1 month trial, you get 1 credit that gets you any book you want

You can then say you didn't like it and change it for something else.

Bit shit really, first thing I got was a Mr Men book, no effort went into this, its just an audio rip of the 1980's TV series, yet they want £8.00

The Amazon App for this is better as you can load on books you get from elsewhere, Echo looks to only play stuff from the cloud and only way to populate that is to buy stuff.

I doubt it's going to be much good for kids books but a lot of other titles can be 40 hrs long.

Found that when you swap books around they vanish from your "Cloud" library straight away and the Echo can only see the one book in my case.

On IOS devices they never really go, I have 3 books on these now and can play them as often as I like.

In the end I ripped the sound track off 20 or so Mr Men and Little Miss YouTube Videos, these are just the same as audio books and can be played by everything

I've let my free audible trial lapse into a subscription. But that's ok because I saw the complete Sherlock Holmes narrated by Stephen fry on there. 71 hours of goodness hopefully, all for one audible credit (rrp 70 quid).
