I've just realized that I don't have Burnout 3 in my collection, which means I must have never played it. I am kind of stunned, actually, I have been living with the idea that I finished all burnout games except Dominator, but it seems I skipped this one, probably because I didn't have a working Xbox at the time I was playing through the other games and didn't fancy playing it on PS2 (I have the Gamecube version of the first two games), and so went straight to Revenge on Xbox 360.

But it's ordered now, and I have something awesome to look forward to!

Which reminds me, Burnout Paradise is backwards compatible now so you can play it on the Xbox One.

I think I need to revisit it.

The visibility was too low in 3 for me. Burnout 2 was arcade perfection IMO.

Paradise was amazing but that was more for the social aspect.

Never played 2. 1 was a bit too cheaty for my tastes, and 3 too muddy. I quite like revenge on the 360.

2 was pretty cheaty too. I played through it on the Gamecube and the rubberbanding AI was the only thing that spoilt the game for me at times. Still a great game, but there were some frustrating moments when you'd drive a perfect race and assumed you'd be miles ahead, only to clip something at the end and have a load of cars appears out of nowhere and overtake you.

My main memory of 1 is spending ages on a 1v1 race against the net a truck, in order to unlock it. Had the perfect race, but brushed the last corner, crashed (the first one was so unforgiving for crashes) and lost.

Eventually unlocked the truck, which I was expecting to be awesome given how hard it was to beat.

It was Shit.
I stopped playing.

I can't believe it's the 17th year of the twenty-first century and we still have to break in shoes. I also can't believe that I've been an adult for almost half my life now and I still start wearing new shoes long before they've broken in properly so for the first week my feet get torn to shreds.

That said, my new DM shoes look cool and far smarter than what I wore previously, so that's ok. The extra inch they give me is always welcome too.

I have to break in shoes, too.

Since the clown nonsense last month I've had to reconsider my choice of footwear.

But yes, there is the chance that I should just wear thicker socks. I've not properly measured myself in a long time but I don't think you can sizes that aren't quite eight but more than seven and a half (at least not on my budget).

It's probably that stiff leather. The Columbia Davenport boots I bought recently for casual wear have a far thinner leather and didn't need such work.

Shoe breaking in tip...stuff them with damp newspaper and let them dry overnight. It will help soften the inside of the shoe quicker.

I've found brown DMs break in a lot quicker than black DMs for some reason - I guess the leather is treated differently.

I never even had to say the amount I'd seen elsewhere and after a short hold the nice lady came back and had dropped the price to well below confused.coms's lowest price.
