I warn you I come with no special accessories or costumes, so in that respect you'd be better off bringing some Lego minifigures (man, I love Lego), but I do come with a tendency to get very drunk and loud. So pretty much like 95% of the other attendees, really.

But very much looking forward to meeting you (and all the other people I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet) as well!

Speaking of which - CAVEY YOU BETTER BE COMING

Grim... is furiously lubing up in anticipation.

Craster is sitting alone in the car, stricken, slowly eating a plate of raw sausages.

Marvellous!

Finally my cottage whiteboard vandalism will be correct (with just a small adjustment to make the 10 into a 16)

I have a big stack of 2nd ed (the best ed) D&D stuff, and a fairly good standalone adventure I wrote and ran with Cras and a friend.

But D&D is for nerds, though.

no no it'll be great we'll get really drunk and then have all the windows open in our room so it gets super-cold and then we can stay up real late and eat snacks and tell stories and jokes and talk about which of the girls we like best and then play some multi-player pokemon on linked up gameboys and then be rude about everyone and then get some more drinks and then cuddle because it's so cold and then have a pillow fight and then decide on the top ten most awesome fictional people of all time and then ange will confuse us and then we can listen to some songs and decide which are best and then you'll cry because you feel so old compared to everyone else but i'll comfort you and it'll all be all right and then we can talk about what we're going to do the next day and then we can play our own little mini dungeons and dragons game and then we can jump on the beds and then we can get up because it's already midday

In my absence I did some serious soul-searching. I was pulled back in after I realised I had no soul.

I'm fairly certain Gary and I can make this from Friday eve till Sun eve. We can bring a tent if needed. Will give a definite answer tonight/tomorrow, and am putting a reminder on my phone NOW.

I don't think so, as he works abroad now.

However, I'm not sure if he's been told about the date change.

What a dick! Why'd he move to a country that didn't have the cottage in it? There will not be enough beardy smiliness.

He's like 33% of the reason to go to the cottage.

But of a stretch calling Derby the "countryside". Compared to London maybe I guess.

Also you haven't seen the size of the place.

That said, the amount of beds may prove an issue if more people agree to come. At that point we have to do cost/benefit analysis on getting the second cottage too

More people should come.

JBR, you've not been in, what, four years? 4 years ago it was the best. You should come.

Zoidberg: you work with two BEEXers who are going. That means you need to go if they haven't killed and eaten you by October.

Egg: priorities.

MrsA: don't dare send Mali alone.

From London?

megabus.com (choose to travel by train)

I've done it for less than a £10er before.

I had something similar in my mind, but trains from London to Derby came to around £70 each with my railcard when I checked, excluding cost of taxi from the station to the place.

Depending on eta and departure times I might be able to do you a lift from derby to stenson.

Nice. We were hoping to get there Fri eve but might be a little late (10pm-ish) so I'd assume people would have started drinking by then :p

Just checked with Megabus and it's less than £10 each! But I can't book that far in advance. I'll see what Gary thinks.
