That whole section with Cersei was pretty hard to watch and, while I realise the point was to properly rub in how harrowing an experience it was, I think it went on a bit long and became pretty fucking nauseating.

Also, what as the ring that Daenerys dropped off her finger at the sight of the Dothraki horde? I'm guessing her wedding ring from Drogo? Wouldn't that make her more likely to be treated well by the Dothraki? I'm saying that while realising I can't really remember how things were left between her and the Dothraki as it was all so long ago.

I thought it might perhaps be he wedding ring from the new chappie just killed in Mereen (SP?), which she has quickly ditched to show that she has been loyal (in heart and body) to Khal Drogon

I had been rooting for cercei since the beginning of her incarceration just because i hate religion fundamentalists on principle. But if anyone was still glad that she was suffering, i'm sure they're not by now after that harrowing scene. I just hope The Mountain mass-decapitate all of those forehead carved freaks, the nuns and the high septon.

There's a bit of discussion about Cersai's tatties from last night. I must confess I didn't notice so it can't be that bad.

Those tatties were fake tatties. Cersai's head was CGI'ed onto some other woman's body. Apparently the CGI was terrible.

I couldn't tell... but then I wasn't looking for a join!

Re: Cersei - I was glad she was locked up as she was responsible for the religious fundamentalists coming into power, which she did solely to punish Margaery, before being outmanoeuvred by Littlefinger.

It was so terrible that no one noticed. It was a "great" scene, and very brave of her. Must have been terrible to shoot that.

I was ready to give the actress full credit for doing the scene, but I'm giving her CGI head much less credit. This sort of reminds me of Confessions of a Call Girl where Billy Piper shows a bit of real boob in the first series and then uses a body double (that looked nothing like her) afterwards. Still, it gives someone else a job.

In this cases, i do understand the actresses decision though, after the fuss the american audience does every time a boob is shown on screen.

I read she did it because at the time of filming she was X months preggers.

When watching I thought the Bolton horde looked way too big, but someone counted and they were a completely reasonable number. (Also, the fact that Stannis wasn't marching his men in neat lines bothered me, but I guess by that point he'd stopped giving a fuck?)

It looked to me like it was because half his men decided to run away rather than march to their death. Of course, they were killed anyway, since Bolton's army had horse riders.

I was quite bothered at this scene. When the battle is about to start it cuts to black and we see all of them dead??

I had watched the siege of Paris from "Vikings" the day before and that was three episodes of pure steel awesomeness. My standards were unreasonably high

I thought the battle was ace. Especially the cavalry flanking out. And Sansa lighting g the cand leathers to signal Knight girl too late was typical of her luck. Hopefully Jon Snow gets a red, otherwise it is a third less of a reason to watch.

Yes, that aerial shot was amazing, in a very Total War kind of way, which probably made me even more angry for the anti climax.

Meh. The obvious impact Jon Snow's death will have is the total fucking up of the already fractious relationship between the Watch and the wildlings. Where ever that whole plot line's heading might require Jon not to be around for some reason.

Just popped in having finally seen the last episode.
I will ask him, however, when I spotted him in the neighbourhood last week he was still sporting the Jon Snow's beard and hair and in light of the fact that I think filming for season 6 starts next month I don't think he's dead. Especially with Melisandre (red witch) making such a hasty reappearance at whatever the name of the place Snow is in charge of...

Apparently Harrington has stated in interviews that Snow is dead. Which begs the question why he's still sporting the look. My money is on some kind of resurrection involving Melisandre.

Fair enough, though you could substitute 'men' for 'women' in that sentence and it would still work.

Seen on Reddit earlier today was this Game of Thrones intro mashed up with Super Mario World.

I'm just astonished that someone went to the time and effort to do this. And it's great.

Just started watching it.Goodish start. Why the fuck isn't Sansa dead? I bet she ends up sat on the throne on top of a pile of bodies looking entirely puzzled as to where she is.

Can't BELIEVE they cast her in the new XMen film.

I thought it was okayish.

Most of it just seemed to move on the story by tiny amounts just as you would expect.

It was the standard merry go round of plot points, covering everything important and clearing up some loose ends.

Nothing of any huge import happened I would say. Building tension.

Most confusing Craster Scale score, ever.
