Hullo,

I have this little thing on my website that stemmed from a little excel calculation I wrote to increase or decrease stitches across a row evenly. What it does isn't important at the moment, but people seem to like it, and I want to make something more involved.
http://www.eskimimimakes.com/knitulator ... r-eskimimi

What I know I can do is to make something that will generate a completely unique sock pattern made to fit someone by plugging in a few foot measurements and the knitter's gauge (sts and rows per cm)

It will spit out an instruction much like the bit if you hit the button on the page above
"Method 1: knit 2, m1, [k5, m1] until last 3 sts, k3
Method 2: knit 1, KFB, [k4, KFB] until last 3 sts, k3"

If I did this, the instruction would be MUCH longer (a whole pattern for a pair of socks, after all) therefore I wondered if there is a way to make this custom generate instruction printable beyond the suggestion to print screen or copy and paste the resulting instructions?

Haha, no, I don't want to print the entire screen to PDF, just the generated content, so it's still a query :)

You could do something clever with the @media print CSS that hid everything else but your instructions, and a PRINT button that just called window.print(). That might well do.

Cheers Squirt!

I shall get the most intelligent one* in the family to have a look to see if he can make it work.
