I played Zombies with randoms who knew what they were doing and they just buggered off without me while I looked around and still couldn't figure out what they were doing. I don't think I've once found the BLOPS3 zombies map any fun as no fucker will talk me through what we're supposed to be doing.
Thats the real problem with it - its far too complicated for a newbie - and if you dont know what your doing your not going to last long - in all previous games there were options to get to know stuff before you get into the more complicated maps.
WaW had Nacht which is the first map you've mentioned below - BLOPS1 had Five (play in the Pentagon) and Kino (movie theatre) which both had some basic stuff to do but no big storyline
BLOPS2 had Tranzit (way to long and complex) but allowed you to play parts of it just stand alone - Bus Depot was very similar to Kino - one door and the box - Town and Farm had a few perk machines but no story to get in the way.

I still like Nacht but i prefer some of the later ones where you can get Perks.
>EDIT: oh yeah, and the no real headshots stuff is shit. There's no skill to shooting anything as they're just bullet sponges so the trick becomes picking up >perks so you get more ammo or quick reload so you can sink more rounds per second.
Headshots are still there and still do more damage - having a good aim and a way to take them down is much better than just pumping bullets and apart from Deadshot (a perk which makes it more likely for you to do headshot damage) the Perks dont really help in that way - the main Perks are :
Juggernog - take double damage before going down
Speed Cola - reload twice as fast
Quick Revive - in multi player revive someone twice as quickly - in single player revive yourself when you are downed
Mule Kick - be able to pick up a 3rd gun (you lose it when you lose the perk)
Double Tap - shoot double the amount of bullets (so one single press of the trigger fires two bullets but your ammo only goes down by 1)
Stamin up - Sprint for longer
Deadshot - bullets are more likely to headshot (and if you snap aim it targets their heads)
I can show you both how to do some of the stuff in Shadows of Evil (although i've not done the whole story part myself) - but i'm not sure if it would really work for either of you.
I'm hoping the new map will be more of an introduction for people but i do think they are trying to hard here to make things needlessly complicated.
