Rugby World Cup 2015

As usual, I let the football world cup pass me by last year (well, apart from *that* Germany game), but I'm quite looking forward to the forthcoming Rugby World Cup* as it was the 2011 tournament that really got me interested in the game.

I'm quite pleased that I was able to get tickets for one game: Scotland v USA . Not sure who to support yet, but I do own the USA strip...

Anyone else going to anything? Are people planning on watching all the games or just key matches?

Did a quick search and the first post about it on this forum was way back in 2012!

Fuck yeah rugby. I shall be watching, although I suspect my interest will wane if England don't get out of the Hell Group.

I shall be watching as much of this as I possibly can.... Which will probably equate to three minutes worth while the kids are in the bath.

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to it and I've even arranged a social gathering to watch the first England game.

Where 'small' is 5 foot 10 and 14 stone. I always thought Wilkinson was tiny but then the others are mahoosive

Sadly not, though back in the day I had a good turn of pace and change of direction.

If Oxford win the Boat Race, it's a brilliant example of team work, physcial fitness, and the brilliance of both the sport and the university.

If, god forbid, Cambridge do, well, it's a silly pompus waste of everyone's time filled by imported big yanks and Germans.

As an English person (and British person), it seems reasonable to be able to use 'we' when supporting such teams.

As a paying supporter and member of Aston Villa, it also seems reasonable to consider oneself as part of the club.

Managed to watch England v Fiji, US v Samoa, and New Zealand v Argentina.

Was out on Saturday so didn't record the South Africa match but apparently missed a treat.

England were scrappy, the yanks kept on making stupid mistakes, and I'd forgotten how well the Argentinians play.
