To find some one from an old address of theirs? on the electoral role etc?

Basically when I was a kid I used to go to this place for a holiday every year (at least once or twice). Any way, I had this friend and we were very close friends until we reached our late teens and drugs and what not got in the way. He did turn up as a surprise once or twice when he got his car (he lived in Reading I lived in London) but after 1999 we haven't spoken since.

Last night I had a dream and he was in it, and he showed me a cancer lump.. I'm desperate to see if I can contact him but have no idea how you would go about it?

Yes. He used to live in Reading but his parents moved on to some seaside town (the name escapes me...) but he remained in Reading..

I hadn't spoken to him for a few years but I came home drunk out of my skull on new years eve 1998 and called him and spoke to him for hours.

He's not on Facebook or Twitter which makes it hard..

Why not contact the address you have and see if they have any information to pass on? It's a long shot but it doesn't look like you have much else to go on.

The last time he lived there he was 17.. He's probably 40 now.

Does he have an at all unusual name, or any of his siblings/parents have one?

It looks like you're saying he used to live in Reading, and when his parents moved he remained in Reading, so, could he still be in Reading, possibly still where he originally was?

Also, did you have any common acquaintances?

He lived in Reading with his parents on the address I can remember. His parents moved to *insert name of seaside town I can not remember here* with his younger brother but he remained in Reading and I had a phone number I could phone him on. He was living in a flat with his girlfriend the last time I spoke to him, about 17 years ago.

Then in 2001 I moved to America, and all of my phone books etc made their way to a skip. It was a rushed move and I did not take any of my diaries/phone books and so on.

So, his last known location was in Reading and all I know is an old address he used to live at in the mid 90s.

Sadly we don't have any common acquaintances no. I just used to meet up with him whenever I was on holiday (probably 3-4 times a year my uncle owned a caravan on the South Coast). Since then Mum has not only changed her London landline number (from BT to another service) and has then moved to the South Coast, so has a new phone number. So if he's ever tried to contact me he would have failed.. I mean he could have found me on Facebook, but I could never find him so I assume he just doesn't use it.

I did find him on Friends Reunited, but when I emailed him it bounced, probably due to the fact he may have had the account several years before I tried contacting him a few years ago.

And sadly that's about all I know. For all I know he could have died... But that dream last night has made me determined to try and find him. I really don't think he would mind if I did.

Just remembered. His parents (I know his dad's name) and brother (I also know his name) moved to Western Supermere is it? possible SIC.

Well I ran his name on White Pages and there are about 20 of him in Reading right now. Might start phoning... Gonna be a bit weird though lol.
