I'm not that suss of Russ. That said if he's the only one close to a lynch tomorrow I will vote for him simply because I don't want to waste our only power.

I'm definitely up for voting for those that don't contribute. I agree with what Mimi says about if you're not helping you're hindering. It's too easy for people to fly under the radar when they are quiet too.

Sorry, real life and stuff, and then when I do get a chance to catch up there's not really anything obvious to say, so I think I'll come back to it and then it just gets forgotten, and then catching up, and etc, etc.

Glad to see whatever orders the post count (apart from post count, natch) put gaz at the bottom, rather than me.

Russ does make a good point about his voting timing, although he might just be playing the long game seeing as Curio was definitely on the way to being lynched (and it's Curio, so it wasn't going to go in any other direction).

The no nazi thing seems the most likely, and if there is an investigator they should keep quiet until they know anything useful (or are about to get lynched).

Hmm, Mimi that's quite suspicions that you spread vote this late on when there is already a vote for Gazchap. I have no preference out of the two who is voted for, but I find it odd that you'd go for one that has no votes at all.

I'm not sure how much stock I put in Russ' claim, simply because we don't have enough information yet.

I'm probably only going to be able to vote in the next 30 mins +I'll try to get on but don't know what my signal will be like). So I'll wait and see if anyone else votes for Gaz or Joans in that time so I can go with the majority.

I'm still with Mr Highly Russpicious but could switch over to Joans (or Gaz) for not really taking part in the game which as a baddie is a crap hiding technique that should not work (but does) and for a goodie is worse because your allowing the baddies to hide easier.

Not really: I think I have quite clearly put above the one thing that I can see separating the two of them in my post: "Tempted only by the fact that Gazchao didn't vote for Mr Russpicious".

Now, I agree that Russell's defence isn't exactly watertight, and will come unravelled if somebody else counterclaims that role (with the understanding that the role may not actually be used in the game, so it's all about if, if, if) but without anything more solid to go for it just makes the probability that Gazchap didn't try to bandwagon Russell out of the game a slight plus point on his side if Russell does turn out to be not mafia. At least we should be able to conclude that they probably aren't mafia chums (though either could still be the SK) whereas Joans could be Mafia OR the SK, so I think increasing slightly our chances of a hit.

As with any mafia game, it's about small odds based on people lying, but I see it as a slight advantage in the way of casting my vote. I will vote for the person I think is more likely to be a baddie, not just who everyone is voting for. The only reason I'd deviate away from this is if we meet an absolute stalemate and times is running out, where the difference in circumstances between the two were perhaps small enough to negate the logic.

If Mimi was on Russpicious' side, I don't reckon she would have left the vote one from a lynch for so long.

Oh, is that what I am being accused of? Heh, no, that is ridiculous. I drove the vote for Mr Russ from the start, based on his weird behaviour and his 'logic' - however, I think his defence has to have an impact where his role claim has come into play. Again. it's just about looking at the perceived odds in front of you. Obviously if someone counterclaims that role then we come down to two: a suspect and a Russpect (hehehe) and will have to re-visit what has been said and done around those two claimants to the role.

Not knowing if the role is in use is an intriguing layer to this, though. Would be ballsy to just guess, but if you are one vote off, would make sense to just have a go I guess.

I have to say, I am almost swayed by Russ' claim; the only thing which sits against it is the fact he waited so long to claim a vanilla role.

Is there any downside to this? If Joans is a 'vanilla' role (does vanilla just mean town role with no powers?) is there any reason he should not now tell us his character name so that we can corroborate it against the roles we have in play to see if anyone here has a counterclaim to that role? I think this is why silent players are a hindrance, whether a baddie or not, as a lack of participation just slows everything down and increases suspicion in the wrong areas.
