Guess who couldn't sleep last night?

Here's a game to help kids learn how to type: http://www.fullonrobotchubby.co.uk/random/type/

(Note: it gets harder)
(Note2: It has a habit of crashing when you get to around 100)
(Note3: It makes noise, but you can turn that off by clicking the icon at the top left)
(Note4: It's not optimised and it's full of bugs. Fuck off it was 3am)

Tell your kids!

Or tell me why the fuck it's crashing, because I have no idea.

i got to 79 and then the word 'stop' came on the screen (to type) and no mater how many times I typed it (and yes, typed it correctly) it would not go. Subsequent words were falling down the screen and I could shoot at those, but not 'stop'. It didn't freeze, rather just refused to recognise the word, until it fell to the bottom and went red.

Good stuff, but I got exactly the same experience as Mimi just there. Also it seems to be using a US dictionary (I saw 'color' at one point) which is probably worth updating if it's easy to do.

Reminds me of a type in program for the Commodore 64 called Mad Letter Bomber or something like that. Ah, the good old days.

Did you create the graphics yourself?

Edit: Mad L Bomber

Are you sure you spelt 'stop' correctly?

I keep making a typo and instinctively going for the backspace key which (in firefox, anyway) returns me to the previous page and kills me.
Other than that it's great, and I'm half tempted to send it to some of the people at work who can't type.

Now it will!

You can't really see the level up message, though.

I fixed the "stop" problem, too (it had a space at the end).

Ooh, have played it now, love it!

(Although it crashed at 59 points when a ship appeared with the word even)

It's got more slow down than Blighttown on my iPhone.

I could totally spell all those words though. I'm ace.

I only got to 76 cause autocorrect doesn't work on it.

I got to 124 comfortably enough before it crashed.

First few levels are a bit dull though. Still getting slow single letters at the 30 mark was a bit dull

Ace though.

I remember an ancient one on a Commodore Pet called 'Insulter.' You just typed anything conversational and it would use your input to devise an insulting reply. It was quite addictive as you always wanted to use your own witty reposte. If it couldn't work out a relevant reply, it would just go off at a tangent, or say it couldn't be bothered wasting its time on an imbecile like you.

It was then connected to Twitter and turned into the world's biggest Turing Test.
