Hi folks,

I have a couple of people who want to make a set of short videos for traihing purposes on a new system, just for use within the team.

Is there anything that will allow screen captured video that is usually available on a windows PC or part of the usual microsoft suite.

Alternatively, is there anything that woudl allow easy screen capture (with option to add vioceover) available as freeware that is readily and simply available?

Cheers.

Funnily enough the one I'd recommend is actually some streaming software, of the type you'd use to stream your screen to twitch. It can build a composite 'stream' from a variety of sources, including static overlaid jpegs, microphone input and webcam footage.

I believe you can specify to output to a standard MP4 or FLV.

Windows Movie Maker will do it, though I've no idea about it's editing capabilities, and it'll be either built-in or available as a free download from MS depending what version of Windows you're running.

Imagine going to the IT department for an IT-related query. Barmy!

Camstudio used to be all the rage when we did that stuff at work many years ago. I see it is still being updated.

And when you tell them to stop whining and just deal with it, they complain even louder. That's the name of their department, FFS!
