I enjoyed the foreshadowing of that happening in the last episode.

One thing I've been wondering about is that haven't they basically got to the end of the published storyline for sansa? I can't remember anything else happening to her in the books.

I imagine that Varies isn't going to lead him through the secret tunnels to get Tywin. We haven't really heard anything of the secret tunnels since, what, the first season. I reckon something else is going to link the events.

Not to be a BOOK DICK: But I was expecting him to punch his head into mulch, like he does in the book/this comic, rather than squeezing it open. The squeeze seems less satisfying, and it doesn't match what the guy actually says (even in the TV show).

One of my favourite things about ASOIAF are the insane fans that spend far too long coming up with crazy theoires that put huge amounts of importance on one or two lines in a book. Infact, if you don't regularly read this kind of insane crap you might not even know who e.g. Azor Ahai is, but it's all the fans talk about.

edit: this one, also linked in the comments, is especially good, though I think the chronology is a bit off (Jamie is already free and present at the fighter between the Mountain and the Red Viper). I think, if anything, Jamie is 'reborn' when he lets his brother go and tells pops to fuck off. Though I don't know what that has to do with the salt bit... (more hams?).

At least they ditched the whole "where do whores go?" thing.

I would have thought that where they are in the TV series that in the next season they will divert significantly from the books (even more so than they have) as let's face it "A Dance of Dragons" is pretty poor.

Also, Tyrion's first wife. No admission from Jamie that she wasn't a whore. So... I guess she was a whore. I thought that finding out the truth was Tyrion's main motivation for killing Tywin.

No stoneheart yet, which was a mild surprise. I haven't read the latest book (and probably won't bother to be honest, i'll stick with the tv show) but we are well past the point she should have turned up, aren't we?

There's a lot of online discussion about how she hasn't turned up.

The producers have stated that it was never their intention to have her in this series but won't let on if she will appear at all.

I've read them all twice now, and it doesn't seem to stick in my head. There's too many characters having too many breakfasts.

It was what snapped him to pull the trigger, but remember he already picked up the crossbow and ventured into the toilet area, just like in the show. Why else would he have it if not to shoot him? (Maybe for protection after the escapes?).

However, it was mentioned in season 1 or whatever, so they could have feasibly brought it up. What I didn't like so much was the 'Han shot first' alteration of giving Shae a knife.

Also: Tyrion doesn't tell Jamie that Cersei has been fucking Moon boy for all he knows, which is another annoying refrain from the books. That's one of the things that causes Jamie to bugger off on his Quest for Glory. (And then subsequent capture by LSH?)



She's in two scenes (I think) in the books and they all involve hanging Freys. It's not exactly plot driving stuff. From what we've seen so far you could easily wipe her out of the books and nothing would be changed. You could just have the brotherhood do it. MaliaA, who has read the books TWICE as many times as I have, can't even remember her. That's how little influence she has on the currently published story. I have no idea why the internet is shitting bricks about it, other than for revenge fantasies. But I never really like Robb or Catelyn, so I don't give a crap about that Plus, I never really had the reaction most people did when they read the LSH 'reveal'. Mine wasn't "OMG AWESOME LETS GET REVENGE" but "oh, another person back from the dead? Who next...undead Ned? Undead Joffery?", so I'm kinda glad they've avoided it thus far.

Hang on, haven't the dead people whoa ren't already popped up on the TV? Remy What's his face, the king Brienne didn't protect. Last series?

Frankly, I think that's an excellent decision.

By which I assume they mean 'the two least favourite Starks'. Other than Sansa, I guess.

This post caused tears all over the fan forums the other day. I find it so strange how people can be so passionate for a non-entity character. Plus, I don't think that interview is definite proof -- that's what the actor is aware of. The writers could write her in for all she knows.

Still, I'd be glad if LSH isn't in it. She adds nothing, and there's only 10 hours per seasno. Don't waste it on her!

See, I don't like this. By ruling her out of the TV show, it effectively makes her continued presence in the book canon pointless. The show producers know GRRM's endgame and have decided that LS need not be a thing.

Strong Belwas was cut and it made me sad. LSH was cut and: schadenfreude.

Bewlas had a pivotal role to play with the locusts. (I wonder who'll eat them now?) The lisping guy who cut off Jamie's hand and imprisoned Arya and later Brienne was also cut. Both were in more scenes than LSH and had (so far) more important roles.

I guess the only difference is that we don't know what LSH will do in the future, whereas we know what happened to those other characters. Does it matter if the show doesn't include her? She could still do important things in the book, just not in the show. They'll just get another character to do it.

I'm sure they could fold her few bits into Beric Dondarrion, if they need the Brotherhood to pop up and hang some folks.

This is exactly the issue I have with it, either the books are going to drastically deviate from the TV series or we have just had a massive spoiler for the rest of the books. And her character has a huge amount of potential imho.

Major book/telly deviations going on now. It's going in completely different direction for a few characters now.

Lord knows what book Sansa is going to get up to in the book now. Hurry up George AAARRRRRRRR Martin and just release a book or two.
