Not really and I'm having a massive clear out of my DVDs and CDs. I don't have time to watch them these days anyway and could do with the space.

I got rid of all my DVD's there. They were quite coy about what they do with them all when I spoke to them on the phone. Anybody know how they make money from peoples 2nd hand DVD's and CD's??

We sell our stock to affiliated companies, one such company being the aforementioned "zOverstocks" who sell on Amazon Marketplace and Playtrade.

I also wanted to mention another post on here where someone said they were offered 17p for a bluray disc. This is simply untrue as our minimum offer price is 30p, and even so, we would offer more than that considering it's a bluray. If the poster could give me the barcode then I can make sure it's not an error in our database.

Cex has also been mentioned. I think their minimum offer is 20p but you'll have to verify that. Also bear in mind unless you have a CEX store nearby that you can drop the items off at, you will have to foot the postage bill to send the items to them.

Also worth a note. I found that my local shop allows cheaper postage than Royal Mail... seems to have worked so far:

myhermes just dropped their prices for their lowest two tiers, and raised them for heavier tiers, so for small parcels, costwise, myHermes is a great courier now.

Just be aware with Herpes that they are cheaper for a reason. There are some absolute horror stories about them especially about the handling at the depot and items being stolen.

I tend to use them for low value items and usually pay the extra for the insurance if it's an electronic item.

My advice is to wrap and pad the item to an inch of it's life, then wrap it some more. Then gaffer the fucker up so no casual thief can get in quickly and snatch the item.

DO NOT SELL TO MUSIC MAGPIE AS zOverstocks are TEH EVUL. (And are horrendous competition on Amazon for me)
