Triton is a space conquest game, but played over weeks with only a few moves per day. It looks quite fun.

Anyone want to play me (and some others)? Here is a link to my newb game:

It does seem fun though. Combat will be interesting I assume.

Hopefully me and grim... can form an alliance and take the galaxy for ourselves!

Bah, one of us would need t have Premium ($12 for 3 months) to create a game with a password so we could do it, oh well. Maybe agree to play at a st start time that we all try joining at same time?

I'm fairly sure I'm going to sling them some money - everyone should have a go at the newb game it offers you to get the hang of it.

So does the Alien species we chose at the start actually have a racial bonus as implied in the blurb about them? Or is it just for the pretty pic?

How about:

Bobby attacks yellow
Sg and I take out light blue and cut the map in half
We mop up yellow
That should give us just over half the board, then we go for the other three.

Sure

I currently have a nice deal with light blue, he is willing to let me grab shit loads of stars right by him and he is also up for a research trade alliance, so I will hold off on attacking him until I have a nice solid position.
Think I may have made a bit of a mistake and grabbed to many stars at the start, think I need to invest into economy and industry very soon

It is glacial - I like that. You'll find it seems to go faster once things hot up.

However, with that in mind, I've created us a Beex game that runs at double speed!

The password is
excellent

Indeed. I expect it'll be better once I work out what I need to be doing. Part of the problem is that I can't plan for my next move, as I have no idea what is going on :D

Yes. It's not as nice as doing it on a PC, but it works perfectly well. I play on the phone for a lot of it.

I'm in. Hopefully what I've learnt from the game me and grim... are in I can use in this game!

Defending seems to be a hell of a lot easier than attacking.

I attacked with 77 ships on one guy he had about 19 and I only have 37 left.

From a five second glance, it looks like one of those things where you have to go and grab planets/bases by sending people from your current ones. Like that really fast iPhone game that I forget the name of. But slower, obv.

Is that vaguely right?

Yeah. Stars can build spaceships which you can pick up in motherships called "carriers" and move them around. If you go to an unowned star, it's yours. If you go to an owned star your spaceships fight against any that are there - the defending team gets a small advantage (although it's a bigger advantage at the start of the game).
