I'm watching it now. Tom Hanks has just had a dream.

What the fuck is going on in this film?

Oh, there she is, walking down a corridor.
And that's all she did.

This dude just got shot in the face! Why is he still alive?

Oh hey, he's on a First Capital Connect train. I remember those posters at the station.

But he should still be dead.

It's like watching a film with my 16 year old nephew, when he was 10.

JUST WAIT AND SEE

Or read up on what's going on ahead of time:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_Atlas_(film)

I'm honestly of the opinion that a lot of films aren't in the least bit 'spoiled' by 'spoilers', indeed I often enjoy films most on second and subsequent viewings, or if I'm 'spoiled' them first.

Whereas I'm completely the opposite. I didn't even know the name of this film until I started watching it.

There are a lot of Tom Hanks's.

I appear to have arrived at the beginning of the film.

Agent Smith!

But it's seeing the plot points for the first time in the context of the film (and while watching the film) that's important. :)

I think it was a big error to watch the first 30 minutes of this film while posting on Beex on Monday night, because this morning I wasn't really sure what was going on.

Worse, I've got an hour left to watch, and won't be able to do so until Monday morning - at which point I'll no doubt be posting in here again.

Sadly not.

I watched it all, though. I didn't really like it.

The make up was excellent though - especially Hugh Grant. Sadly, I think this might have taken away from the "idea" of the film overall.

I read this when it was popular and don't remember the book being very confusing, though I remember multiple plot lines.
