Well, wasn't that entertaining. Someone was nearly put on the Naughty List but due to some reason or other they weren't.

I blame Santa. He probably interrupted things.

Anyway, I'm sure that Zaphod will...

Oh.

He dead.

Wrapped in wrapping paper so tight until he couldn't breathe. What a way to go.

Zaphod was, of course, a note passing elf.

[playerlist]
GazChap
Santanalian
Bobbyaro
Joans
Sharp Suit
Goddess Jasmine
[/playerlist]

Argue amongst yourselves and find 4 people to agree to put anyone on the Naughty List.

Deadline is 5pm FORUM TIME on Friday.

One for the belm thread that one, Zaphod.

Two theories on his death:

1) Bobbyaro killed him as Zaphod wanted to rally against him (well, when he wasn't trying to murder me)

2) Someone else killed him to make it look like it was Bobbyaro.

Either way, [vote: Bobbyaro] and if it ain't him then, well, we might be screwed.

I'm not sure I understand what's going on here. I realise it's irrelevant to me as I wasn't around at 12 anyway, but are we meant to be setting our watches to forum time?
What happens if the forum time gets fixed between now and tomorrow evening?

Like it has now.I'm assuming one of the secret roles is the ability to mess with the forum time.

I wasn't around at all yesterday, annoyingly as I would have voted.
I don't understand all the talk about time though?

Also, what is with Santanalian's post in yesterday's thread?

wtf?

If I was the killer, surely I wouldn't point that out. If you're honestly an elf you're going about the right way getting yourself deaded. When I'm revealed as an elf you can facepalm all you like and the chances of the town winning become all the more tenuous.

The time thing is simple: Zaphod didn't post on time! The clock on the server, apparently, is a minute or two fast, apparently.

An ill-conceived attempt at humour as Zaphod missed out on killing me. It was just a bit funny though, right? 'spose you had to be there.

But if you were the killer you might say that so that you can point out that you wouldn't say that.

Anyway, you didn't do much to try and save yourself yesterday gloating when you thought you were on the naughty list!

I see no reason whatsoever to not [vote: santanalien]

I ain't going to last long today but let's have a look at me in detail so we can actually remember what a bunch of 'tards you were when I get lynched:

Day 1: No less than 4 known baddies pile on to a bandwagon to lynch Kov. I actively dissuade people not to do so.

Day 2: I "start" an bandwagon on Silent Night. Goodies join in, the baddies see the chance to lynch him and the baddies join in at the end to finish the job. What kind of serial killer starts a bandwagon if they want to remain below the radar?

Day 3: Grim... declares secret knowledge that DavPaz is mafia. I am the first to vote to get the mafia. Now, a seriel killer might vote for mafia but if you and you alone had the prospect of killing all the goodies, wouldn't it make your life so much easier if the mafia were still around?

Day 4: There's only the mafia don left. If this lynch goes ahead and it's mafia there's no mafia remaining, so the seriel killer has the daunting prospect of having to kill 7 people all by himself (there's 8 people at the end of the day but the killer can kill one overnight). The odds won't be good at all. I am third to vote for Mr Russ right from the start. Bobby, flip-flops.

Day 5: Zaphod thinks Bobby as the killer. Gaz looks suss with his convenient "I've got a video from the director overnight". A small wagon appears on Gaz. I could have joined in on the Gaz lynch but I go for the unpopular decision of going with Zaphod alone to lynch Bobby. In fact, Zaphod doesn't even vote for Bobby so I was actually all alone with my vote. No one takes any notice whatsoever of Zaphod who has clearly been looking at the voting patterns because, well, you tell me...

Now, looking solely at the voting patterns identified above, do I look like a demented elf?

Did that as I was leaving the office so couldn't elaborate.

Santanalian - are you going to explain what your secret role is, or were you just making it up?

Well we've got the forum clock being about 5 minutes fast, meaning Zaphods post should have counted, but a decision was made that it wouldn't. If this is part of the game, then it suggests santanalian is something other than the demented elf.
However, there's also the message from zaphod which santanalian claims not to have received, but also claims that curio told him he just forgot to send it on. If that was the case, you'd expect curio to confirm this. If this one is part of the game, then yeah, it does point to santanalian being a bit dodgy.

Obviously, if either of those aren't part of the game, i.e. Zaphod posted in time, but we're just not counting it, or curio really did forget to pass on the message but won't confirm it in the thread, then that strikes me as a bit shitty, so I choose to assume it's part of the game.

I hate to say this but you gotta kill me. If I vote for GJ and Joans flip flops or, perhaps, never comes back then you'll have a stalemate and the game doesn't advance; you just get another townie killed overnight.

Kill me and get on with the rest of the game.

Guys, we need to reach a consensus. We only have until 5pm forum time today.

My thoughts;
Santanalian - been suss of him for a while now and his false role clam/s aren't helping.
Joans - been so quiet it's difficult to judge anything, could just be doing a very good job of flying under the radar.
Gaz- been suss of him before, but can't put my finger on why so reluctant to vote for him until I've looked back.
Bobby - the only one I think is good, but zaphod wanted to put him on the naughty list.
Sharpsuit - see Joans.

If we don't vote today we lose a chance to get the DE but he gets a go of one of us.

With 6 players alive, 4 votes are required for a lynch, and 4 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

You're all useless though.

You're not "discussing" anything. You haven't looked at GJ's voting or comments. She hasn't defended herself and you lot won't look at her in detail.

You've decided I'm bad but not looked at my voting at all. I've outlined it for you but... nothing. Nothing at all. No comments whatsoever.

You've all got "feelings and hunches".

You allow Sharp Suit to come in once a day and make a vote and bugger off without any comments whatsoever. Maybe it's because Thursday and Friday are his "weekend" and he's too good for "Internet chat rooms".

I'd told you to get talking yesterday but, as predicted, it's just one comment and off you pop. It's embarrassing.

I WANT to die. I want to see how many comments there are in the dead thread that just say "*yawn*". I want to see you lot mess this up because you deserve it. The game will continue once I'm dead. This isn't the last day but you're all too reticent or too blind to see it.

Give up Town. Kill me. Now.

I have looked at GJ's voting, and I have read her comments, that is why I voted for her. There is little point discussing anything, as there is no one to discuss anything with. I don't know anything, I don't know who the bad guy is. I don't think it is you, and I am not sure if killing you is a bad thing or not. If I don't lynch you, then that leaves one extra townie alive, but this time tomorrow, the town will just be voting for you again; so we don't actually learn anything.

If you are so desperate to end it, vote for yourself.
