He's doing this on purpose now. Git.

Anyway, let's all just assume that he did clarify that issue and Zaphod did send me a message and I did receive it. Not that I'd have paid much attention to it as it said nothing of note anyway.

On the basis that Curiositree would have posted to tell people his mistake, especially when pressed, if it were true.

WTF? Mr Russ was mafia! that's why i think he was mafia??

And the DE's win condition is the same as the mafia's. How are they not on the same side?

Mr Russ was mafia - you voted for him , how did you know when you were voting for him that he was mafia ?

The answer is that you didnt know - you might have had a hunch or a feeling but it could have came back that Mr Russ was an Elf and that would have made things different - you *did not know* that he was mafia - so saying 'well i voted for mafia and i'd have been silly to do that' is not really a compelling argument

And yes the Mafia and the DE have the same win condition - however if we had an outed DE (through whatever means) the Mafia would not be standing up to save them - they would want rid of them in case they hit one of the mafia !

Revised Christmas List

Good girls:

zaphod79
Santanalian

Suspect Girls:

GazChap Wants me dead but regardless he didn't vote for Davpaz who was strongly tipped as being a baddie.
Bobbyaro He did vote for Mr Russ. Zaphod suspects him though.
Joans He voted once. He has rushed in for a comment when prompted so maybe he has been watching what's going on and could be silent assassin.
Sharp Suit Wants me dead but also didn't vote for Davpaz who was strongly tipped as being a baddie. Went AWOL for two days.
Goddess Jasmine No one has pointed the finger at her. Why not? What has she done to be designated as good? By not saying much or much of note? Could she also be the silent assassin?

Bad Girls:

Fack knows.

Go back and check my posts, I called Mr Russ on being Mafia in Day 3, i then voted him out on Day 4. Whether i knew or not is irrelevant, if I was the DE, even suspecting he was, i would not have voted for him.

Your logic is flawed, you are turning an event that didn't happen on its head and saying that the mafia would have vooted for the DE. So what? That doesn't mean the DE would have voted for the mafia.

Also can you explain why you are not talking about the fact that Sat did not receive your message, why are you ignoring that?

@ everyone else: Is there any chance GJ and Zaphod could be bad?

If we've got three goes at this, I'd be inclined to go:

GazChap > Bobbyaro > GJ

If either Joans or Sharp Suit has a power role then being quiet has clearly worked as a tactic.

The way the days have been going I don't necessarily think the demented Elf would need to throw his hat in the ring to push for a vote so the voting patterns might not be of assistance.

Zaphod is safe. It has been confirmed that he sent his notes. Even if you don't believe me then GJ says that she received his note.

As to why GJ has not been singled out as bad? She absolutely could be - no doubt about it. She's given no indication that she isn't.

You can have lists and thoughts like that yourself - but i would not specifically post them (or at least once posted not stick to them) otherwise the DE knows who to leave around and who to target (e.g. in your scenario why would the SK kill GJ on the 2nd night if they knew the town would do it the next day)

Bobby - I'm unsure - I think your voting patterns show something and your trying to convince me otherwise but this is basically the only conversation going on so lets stop this right now and look at who else is here.

I'm not 100% on Satanalian but i dont think the lack of a message means anything.

If Joans or Sharpsuit are the SK then it basically 'ruins' the game - as in they had a role and decided that not bothering was the best way to win - in that scenario i'd rather we lose so i'm okay with ignoring them which leaves us with GJ and Gazchap

I'm just an elf, so a vote for me is silly.

If you remember, I got a message from the marketing director last night, which I posted the link to the video of at the start of this day. If I'd been bad, I'd have been removed from the game.

'AWOL' for 2 days? From whom exactly should I seek official leave? Please may I be excused on Thursday and Friday as I cannot guarantee being online.

Also, I'm not sure that being quiet constitutes ruining the game. I just have other things to do. Aside from the weekend, which is a weekend after all, I have posted and voted. I just don't appear to be as garrulous and judgy as some. Probably something to do with a clear conscience.

I stand by my vote.

For completeness:

Day 2 ran from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Day 3 ran from Thursday to Friday.

That two in-game days and four actual days with no posts or votes. That's hardly "a weekend". I'll stand by my earlier comments sinceI don't believe it is you but if it is then we're probably to blame by letting that happen and maybe we should have voted you (and Joans) out earlier on.

I thought that was very convenient and i would not put it past you to have made that up - the only other night the marketing person did not hit a baddie was night one - did he target anyone else still in the game at that point and did you get a special video ?

And we're back to quiet.

There are only a few people on here who will actually talk and of course those are then the ones that we're going to end up voting on - my preference for votes :

Bobby
Santanalian
.
.
.
.
GJ

If you were the serial killer and your job was to remove all the elfs from the game you would be joining in the votes because as long as its not for you its one less night you need to worry about -

GJ voted on day 2 and 3 but not on 1 and 4
Joans has only joined the successful vote on day 3
Gaz has *never* voted for someone who was removed from the town that day
Sharp Suit voted for the person to be outed on day 4 only

We have until lunch time tomorrow to decide - does anyone else have thoughts on this (and sorry Bobby - it doesnt look like anyone else is actually going to talk much here so I'm back to my reading of the game so far however I would welcome anyone else posting and talking)

*ahem* What about me?

Also, perhaps you could explain your rationale as to why GJ is a goodie?

GJ voted on day 2 (goodie removed) and 3 (baddie removed) but not on 1 (goodie removed) and 4 (baddie removed). In my mind, she's got only got a 50% success rating. She doing just enough to keep under the radar.

I must say I'd be inclined to go with Gaz but, right now, that's only because he's pointing the finger at me. I realise that isn't a great way to get the Demented Elf though, if I take it as a personal slight so I'm holding off making a decision.

But ONCE AGAIN there's quiet ones on the boarder again making no noise whatsoever. Seriously, TOWN, talking is the ONLY weapon you have. If there are Elf's out there, and there must be at least one, then for goodness sake start blabbing. I don't care even if it's about me being an elf, just get talking and this will get figured out.

Sorry - you have voted to remove someone from the game every day apart from the first.
Both Bobby and I have voted to remove someone every day.

Santanalian wrote:

She's 3rd on my suspects list - I'm not saying she's good I'm saying that she is a less likely SK than either you or Bobby

But the baddie that is left *did not know* when they were voting for people that it was a goodie or a baddie - they just knew it wasnt them.

Bobby can say he though that Russ was mafia but it doesnt matter - its one less kill he needs to do by removing them

Lets just go back and say that all the votes that took place for good guys did not make it - there would be an extra 2 players here (Silentnight and Kovacs) that the SK would have to kill - by voting to remove them they make it easier for them to remove everyone.

Missing out on 1 or 2 days vote could be strategic (you and GJ) missing out on all of them looks dumb (Gaz) and I'm basically ignoring Joans and Sharp suit

We have until noon tomorrow - just in case someone else says something useful its worth not ending things now

*If* we get the right vote today the game could basically be over.

If we get the wrong vote the SK will kill overnight and it makes sense for them to kill me , however the rest of the elves then get another attempt at the right person.

And on 4 days votes the town are 50/50 for mafia thats an incredible hit rate compared with normal and with Gospvg's Marketing genius removing other 'bad' players its looking very positive at the moment.

Okay. Had a very quick look.

On the days I didn't vote look at the times, they were in the middle of the day when you know full well that I am not allowed to vite as I am at work. Those presents don't wrap themselves you know!

I don't think Bobby is bad at all. Santa and Zaphod have both said some confusing things, but that is probably more because they both talk so much.

My Spidey sense has been tingling about gazchap for a while, but I can't remember why.

Sharpsuit and Joans have been too quiet to make any sort of judgement on, but I would hate for one of them to be the DE and that worked for them.

I'll [vote: Gazchap] for now, but happy to switch if need be.

I'm out for the rest of the evening, but if I get lynched, I want to say that I'm really not getting a good feeling about Santanalian - but it's just based on his apparent lie about the message, and his "loudness" coupled with his desire to off the quiet ones.

If you do go on the naughty list and turn out to have been good, I'll happily consider him.

No word from Joans? AGAIN.

Also, I thought Zaphod was doing some Mr Dave-style torturous hyper mega thought process sheeeet. Seems people ain't buying it though.

You know full well that I never lied about the message PLUS being quiet doesn't serve the town. Every game someone points the latter out and no one pays attention: talking is the town's power. Being a quiet townie is detrimental to the town especially at the end game stages.

Also, that video? Nice. Nice and convenient. I'm surprised more people haven't picked you up on it. It was your first post of the day: you want to shake your arms about screaming "it's not me, it's not me". Which is worrying.

In fact, it's so surprising that no one mentioned it you must have thought we'd forgot about the evidence of your innocence as you needed to bring it up again yourself later on.

With 7 players alive, 4 votes are required for a lynch, and 4 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

It wasn't until he rementioned it that I understood what he was saying.
