EDIT: Minor spoiler for walking about in the wilderness

I crashed my car in the mountains and had to walk to a motorway to borrow a new car. On the way I saw a jaguar(?) standing on a rock. It disappear (akin to the monster in Another World) and I could later hear it roaring.

It was a tense, and memorable, walk.

Spawned into Trevor to find him heading north on a scooter following another guy on a scooter & shouting "Come on scooter brother. Where are we going scooter brother? etc..."

Random encounter with Trevor where I went to investigate the dot & ended up getting abducted. Woke up near enough naked on the rails, with a train looming over me & T going "For FUCKSAKES! Not again!"

Did a massive jump while mountaineering in my pickup & landed just in time to see a deer's antlers before it disappeared under my wheels. Went back looking for the carcass to make sure it wasn't just a bush.

Went to boot a hiker up the arse so they'd fall off the top of Mt Chiliad and ended up falling to my death alongside them.

With all these buttons did you know you can press right on the D pad while on foot to speak to people? I got into a fight with a hotdog seller by mouthing off at him.

Yeah I spotted that yesterday. It's very inconsistent though, sometimes it doesn't work at all, and sometimes it quickly escalates from a 'hello' into insults within 2 button presses. Not entirely sure what the point of it is, I stumbled upon it at a hotdog seller too, I was trying to order a hotdog to replenish my health like in GTA 4 and I got into a fight with him.

Golf is very relaxing, except when you drive your buggy from the fifth tee to the fairway over what looks like a bridge, but has a massive gap in it so you fall straight in the water.

I was in town with Mrs AE and AE Jnr yesterday and basically cracked, deciding I was going to just buy the 360 version and put up with it.

However, they'd sold out in HMV and there was a massive great queue in GAME so it didn't happen.

I'll probably try again tomorrow though.

From the sounds of it you're only supposed to install one of the discs and use the other one from the DVD drive, so presumably that's going to be spinning like a bastard the whole time?

My 360 is a Jasper chipset affair so pre-slim, and whilst the unit itself is pretty quiet, the DVD drive is noisy

Someone said you can install it to a USB drive instead so it can still do the dual streaming thing.

I could fly them fine, I thought they were great in fact. In this they just wobble from side to side no matter how careful you are. Hopefully they'll fix it with a patch because it seems actually broken.

I found it interesting... It quite clearly shows that torture doesn't work (the guy being tortured comes up with an address, the fact that the guy has a beard, smokes and is left handed) And once you take the shot you get zero feedback. You honestly don't know whether you shot a random guy at the party or a terrorist. I do know I want the FIB to pay.

I spotted an article on the internet homepage about the shooting of an Azerbaijan man at a party, so I like to think I got the right one although I don't think it's out of the question for an Azerbaijan man to have another Azerbaijan man friend at a party.

My point was more that literally the only distinguishing features you are given are easily changed (beard), possibly irrelevant at the time (smoking, he might have just had a cigarette, and gone back inside) or difficult to conclusively know from sniper rifle range (handedness) Add to the fact that the guy who gets tortured worked as some sort of engineer (he mentions installing some stuff at one of the addresses) you might not be at THE address, just at an address where Azerbaijani people live. You could have picked at random, and you wouldn't have been any more or less sure about the target, than with the information gained from torture.

Was out for a few beers with a mate last night and he was eulogising about this game, I mean properly damn near in raptures about it.

Like me he's basically a PC gamer and he did say that technically it's pretty shonky, very erratic framerates, the engine visibly struggles at times, awful jaggies (his words not mine), controls a bit treacley, occasional streaming issues and so on - but that the game itself simply transcends the issues to the point where they don't really matter.

So yeah, I'm clearly going to be down GAME today to get myself a copy of this on the 360.
