Hello,

Here are some random unused keys from various humble bundles and the like, that you may enjoy. Probably post you've claimed it or something if you do to save others a wasted trip to activationland.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box FCYH3-E8IC9-JKFW5
Mirror's Edge: LJC5I-P63EB-25202

They've both been taken, but thanks :)

Question: How do you get these codes? I've just pre-ordered XCOM Declassified which gave me copies of all of the old X-COM games and the new XCOM game, but I've already got them so was going to post codes here.

They were from the Origin Humble bundle, already had those on Steam.

If you already have the XCom games on Steam, it will give up the codes for you. If not, it won't.

It's just put them into my Steam Inventory, and I can "gift" them from there, but that just prompts me for an e-mail address, doesn't give me any codes?

Huh. I dunno, then.

I recon if you gift it to yourself (ie. an email address that's not your steam Email (remember you can use +something on Gmail)) you might get the code.

Nope, just get a web link to redeem it, which looks like it's tied to the e-mail address I used too. Bums.

It seems they already belong to your Steam account, and as such you can't get any codes. But if they are listed as giftable, you can give each of them to anyone who is in your Steam friends list.

Which reminds me, I still have Half-Life 2 as a giftable in the unlikely case anyone might be interested.

By 'ages' you presumably mean 'ten years' because that's near enough how old it is. Are you also strongly considering giving Pacman and Donkey Kong a shot one of these days?

Seriously dude, what the fuck?

What is this Pacman you speak of? Is that that game that I've spent months learning the patterns for? :p

Seriously though, I'm not a massive PC gamer and play games on it rarely so it's a combination of that and not having the time to play games like I used to.

In that case, if anyone wants the following games (any or all) shoot me a PM with your SteamID:

XCOM: Enemy Unknown (with the Elite Soldier Pack and Slingshot DLC)
X-COM: UFO Defense
X-COM: Terror from the Deep
X-COM: Interceptor
X-COM: Enforcer
X-COM: Apocalypse

which one is best, if they haven't already gone? I haven't played any, but I doubt my PC will handle enemy unknown, sadly.

Interceptor and Enforcer are utter trash.

TFTD is mentally hard and is plagued with bugs, some of which can prevent game completion.

Apocalypse is good, but I could never really get into it.

UFO Defense is the original and best, although Enemy Unknown is bloody close - and with it being turn-based, you might be surprised how well your PC handles it. I haven't exactly got a modern PC (Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @ 2.4GHz, with 4GB RAM and a GeForce 9800GT) and it runs perfectly well on Medium settings, and handles Far Cry 3 pretty good too.

With UFO Defense, you can also then download OpenXcom from openxcom.org and play a version of the game that has loads of new features and bugs fixed over the original game etc.

I only have a laptop, it has a fairly decent on-board GPU, but it is a risk, so if someone else who knows they can run it wants EU, it is better for them to have it, but I would happily take XCOM: ufo defence and apocalypse if they are still available. my steam name is bobbyaro.

Personally I'd download OpenXcom and play that. It's not quite the same game (they couldn't reverse engineer the AI exactly correct) but the bugfixes etc. outweigh the changes. You'll need to copy the game data files into the OpenXcom data folder though, but it'll tell you about all that in the instructions I imagine.

I am RUBBISH at this! :DD I can't even get off the fucking plane, you'd think this hi-tech organisation of highly skilled, highly trained soldiers would have installed a front door on their plane!

Just you wait until you accidentally throw a grenade at your own feet which splats your de-facto commander causing all your remaining marines to panic and throw their own grenades at the deck too.

Or, on turn 1, attempt to fire a blaster bomb out of the Skyranger, but accidentally get one of the waypoints wrong so it hits the side of the craft on the way out, killing your entire squad in the process :)

Half-Life 2 has also been released on the Xbox and Xbox 360 as well. Not surprised you haven't played it, but shocked that it doesn't adorn one of your shelves!
