J Nash took the AP Kennedy assassination references over to a short review for Super Play.

I don't even remember that review. SP was my bible back then. Except the stuff in it was real.

The remaining contributions J Nash lent to Super Play, as far as I could find.

I'm not a fine of his style when get's all bizarre and 'interesting'. He's a solid reviewer when he stays on target but his sense of humour leaves me cold. Sorry

This month's Retro Gamer has a lovely striking Sim City cover. Iiaiiaiian Lee reveals he wants to collect gaming stuff again after giving it all away last month, thus allowing him to continue writing his boring column. There's a list of ten launch disasters, GX4000 included Chindybops, but doesn't mention this new SimCity iteration or the Frontier: First encounters debacle. They review SimCity and give it 66%.. mm..

Got the ish as the final one in my sub. Great cover, I agree, I mean it helps they Sim City 2000 has (IMO) some of the best 2D bitmap graphics evar. I see there's a New Zealand Story article too, not a very competent one, but seeing a multi-page spread of my favourite 2D platform game in a modern magazine reminded me of why I started to buy RG in the first place.

Pity the Sim City article didn't mention Fortune Builder on the Coleco as an influence, really.

Awesome, the Game Zone issue that was lost in the post was returned to the sender on Saturday. Re-flanged pennies at her and it's back on its way!

Two fascinating reviews from AA. The Pickford Brothers have written many superb computer games that have stood the test of time. However Rasterscan wasn't one of them. It looked a bit ugly and was quite hard for me to get my 9 year old brain around.

Zub on the other hand was loved by me and I still play it today. In fact the full version of Magnetic Billiards contains a game prototype called "I Sent My Monkey To The Moon" which owes a lot to Zub.

So imagine my surprise to find that looking back through old AA's it was Rasterscan that got a "Rave" while Zub languished in the mid 70's.

I tweeted that earlier. Now had 100 odd retweets. Should be pleased with this except it's mucked up my timeline and now I can't find the far more interesting discussions I was having with people about a 1986 edition of Emmerdale Farm.

None of the articles advertised on the cover have seemingly anything to do with that picture.

For anyone who doubts the fact that the magazine is real, someone tweeted me a link to a load of their other covers - http://www.kultboy.com/CPU-Zeitschrift/112/

Jan '85 looks at an exciting new micro from Schneider which is the same point the covers settle down to something more traditional.

Man leaves job. Games market's fault, not publishing "official" magazine blowjobs with no integrity.

That's a pretty brave move with that cover. I support this idea, and might buy a copy. Or get one from the library, at least.

Hopefully, Games jounalsits will stop harping on about NDAs and "release date review embargos" and earn some credibility.

All computer games magazines should have a problem page.

Cam Winstanley told me on Twitter that they had to field relationship questions on AP, so sort of makes sense to put it in the mag.

Did he say why they had to do that? It seems strange as its clearly nothing to do with games etc.

Do you mean they wrote back personally?

AP should have done a problem page but with you know who doing the answers.
