That sounds brilliant. Did the 360 version get that extra stuff, cause I can't remember any DLC for it?

No it didn't - there's talk of it being available - originally for 'free' and then for DLC but from what I've read its still unclear.

Totally pre-ordered.

I played it to death on the 360 but the extras sound cool and I think this game might be a great option to play with the cursor keys.

I found on the 360 that my brain and hands were working faster than the 360's pad would allow. The D-pad of course is totally beyond shit and unusable, and an analogue stick is a bad match for this game.

Cursor keys ahoy!

I remember you buying (and then selling very quickly) an arcade stick just to play this :-)

I've pre-ordered as well - my very first steam pre-order

Indeed, the arcade stick just didn't help at all, I can imagine it would have been perfect for a beat-em-up or a shooter, but for Pac-Man it was just too big, with too much travel in the stick itself.

When Pac-Man DX is really running along at full chat you're literally talking tenths of a second between movements, and a large arcade stick just isn't suited to that.

If the 360 pad's D-pad wasn't so TOTALLY AWFUL it would have been perfect, but it's possibly the worst D-pad in the history of the world, and the analogue stick simply wasn't precise enough when things went properly mental.

I have high hopes for this game using a keyboard.

Did I buy your arcade stick? I have one but can't remember where it came from?

It sounds like something I'd do.

A quick scan of my PMs says you did, back in December 2010 :)

Did you get any more use out of it than I did? :D

Released yesterday , and the update is on XBL for that version - they want another £1.29 for each 'extra' map on there

I only a very quick few games on the steam one last night :

Image

top 50 in the world for something i've not really played much recently is not bad - i'll go through and unlock all the levels and then come back and see if i can get higher (2nd number is the total amount in that scoreboard so at that point yesterday there were only about 3000 players)

The new stuff on Steam is also on Xbox (just launch the game and it will update) - there are a few new courses (4 in total) and some alternative backgrounds - the only reason I re-bought it on Steam is so that if / when i move from my 360 to either a PS4 or a Xbox One then i will still be able to play the game

If you follow Lewies link you can get the game + the DLC on the PC for £6 on the 360 each of the new courses will cost £1.29 so thats £5.16

So if you wanted the DLC you could either buy it on the 360 or for 84p more you can get another version of the game which you can play on your PC

Just as a comparison I fired up the 360 version -

Image

So there are nearly 300,000 players on the 360 / almost 100 times what the steam version has
