Town wakes to another day of misery. They lynched their own superhero, and lost another Townsperson to the poisoners.

And it gets worse.

Grim... is missing some vital organs. It looks like he was shot a couple of times from close range by an assailant with a shotgun. He tried to fight back but to no avail. He dead.

His labcoat and strange concoctions make it clear.

Grim... was one of the Bickering Scientists.

And worse still.

Trooper lies on the floor of his house. He has three ninja throwing stars stuck into the back of his head. Evidently someone took a dislike to him.

His house reveals nothing of note.

Trooper was an...

Wait! That looks like a trapdoor!

It is!

And inside is a sharp Italian suit, a revolver, a book on how to make poison and a badge saying "I'm Da Boss!"!

Trooper was the Mafia Don!

So, some good news at least.

Though who knows if more of you will keel over and die before your time...

So, the ninja can kill. If they're town, that's a good thing. I do wonder if hitting the Don was sheer luck or not.

Fosing Tff and zeppo for ending the day before some had a chance to speak and putting the final nails in the coffin only 7 mins apart.

Do we find out if Grim... was the retarded scientist or the good one?

Looks like a good hit on the don, wasn't fossing trooper at all. May have to take a look through and see if there's anything telling there.

Good stuff. Quite what malia was playing at I have no idea!

Bit strange there being no ninja kill night one, could their role be anti Mafia, but have investigate/kill? Or is it sdg and it a zombie ninja! Or maybe the ninja didn't exist until the scientists used their potions!

Yeah, I've got nothing.

Gah. Didn't realise it happened at the end of the day phase.

As for Day 2 on the whole - Jesus, what was MaliA thinking!? By the end of the day, his logic was sound, but sweet Christ on a cracker did he totally go about that the wrong way.

Don't really have any idea of who else might be bad though, TFF and Zeppo did cast the last two votes, but seven minutes apart so I'd be surprised if there was any blockvoting in play there.

Despite the inescapable fact that MaliA's schtick yesterday was stupid, I do have to wonder why so many ignored his logic to lynch Zaphod purely as a test of his reliability. He arsed it up good and proper, but (in hindsight, obv) it would have been the most sensible thing to do.

I'm going to FOS Trooper and Grim..., for no reason other than them pushing for the lynch. I understand why they did, but they are some of the most vocal players and it's easy to get a rally of votes going when you're speaking up.

Fucking hell, I'm a bellend.

Ignore me, I'm tired. I don't even know why I'm bothering, at the moment. Not enough sleep, paranoia of being poisoned is keeping me awake at night.

I'm town, so I wouldn't recommend voting for me, although given that this bout of stupidity makes MaliA's posts yesterday look like those of a fucking MENSA member, I can perfectly understand why people would :P

Well I guess Zaphod is well in the clear now. Sorry Malia, but you really didn't help yourself yesterday.

Now I agree with what Malia was saying yesterday, and think that in amongst the people who voted for Malia will be found the baddies.

(I know that implicates me, but I also know I'm not bad)

Exceedingly thin. I don't think there's anyone that wouldn't agree that Mali made himself look exceedingly suspicious. It was a reasonable lynch.

Hiya.

Ok, so MaliA was writing like a loon but there was no doubt in my mind that he was, in fact, the masked man that he said he was. To be honest, in retrospect, I don't really understand Zaphod voting for MaliA when MaliA had basically correctly guessed what he was especially since Zaphod knew that he had been investigated by the masked man.

Also, I'd say that with Trooper in the mix for the MaliA vote off, there must be more than one Mafia in that mix of voters. One of them must go if you ask me.

No, I haven't a clue who though.

Uh - Mali didn't correctly guess what he was. Even when prompted, by Zaphod, to confirm the investigation, he refused to state what he'd found out.

I thought he said "nothing of note".

Presumably he was hiding that Zaphod was a goodie, right?

If he'd said Zaphod was TOWN ROLE X then he'd surely get Zaphod lynched, right?

Malia was basically being an idiot and egging us on to vote for him. Look what happened, we lost our investigator, now we are basically screwed in regards to finding out who the bad guys are.

Why? If he wasn't a mafia, then the bad guys already knew Zaphod was a good guy. The only person he would be hiding that information from would be the good guys. The investigator doesn't find out roles, just alignment.

There's more than just Mafia around WHICH YOU WELL KNOW. There's a ninja and a serial killer. The fact that you'd conveniently forget that heavily implies that you might be one of them.

I'd be inclined to [vote: Cras] for that slip up, me'laddie.

Yup, sure seems that way. I guess that makes Zaphod a bit of a target for the mob (as building a block of trustworthy townies is something I guess they'd want to avoid...) Does the Mafia Poisoner just target whomever they like now, in the absence of the Don (unless, can there be more than one of him too?)

And the serial killer doesn't care who he kills because he has to kill everyone. In fact, he'd rather kill mafia because they can kill him. The Ninja has only killed once so far, and that was the mafia don. I'm willing to ascribe the fella town-sympathetic motives at this point. So there was no possible reason not to declare a confirmed townie a confirmed townie.

So no slip up, just already thought of and dismissed.

After mr russ's death last night my first action today was going to be a vote for trooper - as its very like him to vote for someone not taking part (which may mean your already dead Joan's)

The fact that a killer spotted this as well suggests that the killer is someone who regularly plays and knows how trooper thinks - so my next guess on that would have been grim... And I guess that doesn't help either - I will have a read through what's been said but I'm on mobile and with a crap signal so may be a while

Some points:
One:
Malc has changed his tune a fair bit since yesterday.
Two:
Zeppo wrote:

In my experience, the person who asks this question is generally the person who already knows the answer.
Three:
zaphod79 wrote:

Or... you know, the person who just told us they figured out Trooper!

I am going to [vote:zeppo] as that question about the mafia really got my sus-o-meter pinging.

Have we got one of those counter-thingies cause the voting seems all over the place at the minute? We need a common consensus here if we're to get any of the god's work done.

...that rallies behind me.

Not voted: 9 (cras, davpaz, zaphod79, goddess jasmine, nickachu, malc, joans, thefirefaerie, zeppo)

With 12 players alive, 7 votes are required for a lynch, and 7 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

Bobbyaro I see what you're saying - how stealthy of me to ask if I already know, I must be a mobster! - but as far as I can tell, it doesn't say anywhere in the rules what happens. As it would rather render the mob useless if it did stop their role, I'm going to guess the poisoner(s) now make their own decisions.

Hmmm

My vote has not counted.

[vote:nickachu]

As for changing my tune. I was wrong about Malia, which means I was wrong about zaphod.

I don't think that's odd.

I was also feeling the same thing about Zeppo as bobby mentioned. I might consider moving to him if there was a surge.
