CPC owners had to suffer years of horizontal shooters with terrible scrolling because the programmers said smooth scrolling couldn't be done. The CPC has to shift around 16k per frame without hardware sprites they'd moan. Well.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=GX4TDduqOXs#t=308s

Yes that is a 128k game, but there's a cut down 64k version with less sound and fewer special graphics but the scrolling is the same.

It is. And I can't stress enough how amazing it is to see the CPC scrolling like that.

I've linked to the full game below.

1100 products and a forecast accuracy of 74%. not bad for a person on a short term temporary contract. Like to see whoever takes it over hit that. In the time I've had the account, I've lifted it from 52%.

It's my last day working in sunny Basildon today, so we're having an office lunch at Taco Bell, being as Basildon has one of only 3 branches in the UK.

Fuck me, it's glorious! GLORIOUS!

Now I'm leaving, the nearest one to me will be 50 miles away. With this in mind, I decided to go for the "nuke it" option of having 3 meals in one sitting. I'm so full! I've made a terrible mistake!

Mrs Chinny's mate has left her van on our driveway. Front left tyre is dangerous and illegal, front fight is illegal, rear left is borderline and rear right is a Chinese ditchfinder.

What's wrong with people?

A) I don't need a ruler to spot large patches of canvas on a bald tyre when she's parked with her wheels at an angle and I have to walk past.

B) Triangle tyres are notoriously crap. They hover around the bottom of the charts at Tyre Reviews, ( http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Grid/ ) and the reports from the buyers are quite alarming. They wear well though because they are made of rubber so hard that you'll get loads of wear out of them. As long as you are in the dry and driving under 30mph you'll be fine.

There's an interview with an old friend of mine about his new book, No Fixed Abode, in today's Time Out London which is a periodical of some sort. Ypu should read it.

Your face is an upside down question mark.

Knackered. Loads of sun. Lots of estrella (not the best lager). Loads of cava. Shite entertainment. Great water slides. Very attractive barmaids who all loved my swagger. One creepy guy who spoke to Mrs Z every time I was away. Fuck all around the hotel apart from a shale beach (ouchy feetos). Good tan.

Overall 73%

Judging by the other families there I'm not shure if they were filming a Shameless or The Only Way is Essex special.

Hi 5ing the 21st century in Yorkshire up here, I've just used a fax to send a document to someone. Not just any old fax, though: a 33,600bps fax.

EDIT: Actually, it was better than that. I wrote a letter on the computer, printed it out, signed and scanned it in. It did not email me the digital copy, so I sent MrsA at her work the letter, and she signed it, scanned it in and sent it to me. I printed it out, signed it and faxed it to someone else.

About 5 minutes. Unless she's in a really deep sleep, in which case I can be up and running in 2 minutes.

So, it turns out it is "Nicky Min-arge" and not "Micky Ninja". Which explains the blank looks I was getting.

But if you had got it wrong the other way around, you'd get a lot worse than funny looks. Mickey Ninja does not take well to people mispronouncing his name - you'd have been shurikened within a heartbeat.
