Also, new for 2013, there will be a "sauce competition" :hat:

Bring some home-made sauce (BBQ sauce, hot sauce, whatever) and we'll decide which is best!

Nah, it's all cool. I get to moan to the missus that it's her fault anyway (her best mate's wedding is that day).

Didn't we have BBQd rum-marinaded pineapple with Madeira cake when you ate at my house last time? That's a partial answer.

You could bake a cake in a BBQ, but I'm not convinced it'd be any the better for it.

That's what Russell suggested. I think it looks like great fun.

Question: If I wore a spotty kerchief on my head and maybe an eyepatch would everyone desert me?

By the way, Grim... I'm really, really looking forward to the barbecue. I was so poorly at the last one that I couldn't really enjoy myself as I wanted, but the atmosphere was brilliant and you were an amazing host with a garden full of amazing people. Mrs Grim... is every bit as lovely as a bowl of ice cream when you're feeling down, and I only hope this one can be half as ace.

Oh, yeah, totally.

Am I meant to know what I am bringing by now? Aside from sauce?? I've been remiss in communications of late.

Yes, of course. I mean I had been googling recipes to try.

We bought some shop-bought version yesterday so that we have a 'control' to test it against to make sure that it is MUCH MORE AMAZING.

Russell, if you read this, don't blurt out what it is now. I have found amaze-o-recipe.
