erm...morning all.

So all the button pressing yesterday either did nothing as the buttons for those people don't work, or it all balanced out? What other options?

Could the people who pressed buttons say which buttons they pressed? so we can get a idea what the hell is going on

I pressed 3, remember?

Last night, a panel on the wall slid down and there was a screen behind it that said "MAFIA".

Might be handy in the future, but it's not now.

I'm not blind to the fact that it could be describing me, but if I am, that's the first I know about it.

There's also a chance that it's describing Cras, as he is alphabetically player 3, but I think that's slim.

So - shrug, basically.

Well, I pressed a button, and as I say I got a screen and a keyboard to type 140 characters. I typed a message and as I went to press send [night time action occurred] and I was unable to push the button. I was blocked from sending the message some how. As I gave out info that I had pushed a button and was then somehow blocked, I am loathe to give out any more info at this point.

Better than nothing.

Until we have anything further,

So assuming that the numbers directly correspond to the player list then Grim... could either be a investigator or Mafia

I am happy to [vote:Cras] for now to prove it either way, as Cras and APOD had some strange talking yesterday.

Cras wrote:

Cunning day one mafia claim?

If Cras turns out to be a norm then we know Grim... is a scummer and can get rid of him tomorrow (assuming the number thing is correct)

hmmm a lot of assumptions there, but can't think of anything better to go on for now

Let's not have a massive run on Craster right away. I wanna hear if anyone else pressed anything, and what they heard.

Then we vote to lynch the scumbag!

He's currently chatting with his Mafia friends as to what they should say to try to divert attention away from his crimer ways.

I think you are, and you're certainly third in the list on my screen. That makes it a little more likely, if you ask me. Not that I think it matters because:
Slightly Green wrote:

Cone on - I've said I have no idea and was making guesses, and you're taking like I said "I'm an investigator, and Craster is bad!". That's reeks of an attempt to thin the herd as quickly as possible, so I'm going to [vote: Slightly Green]

I'm tempted to press 3 again to see if the result stays the same.

Important things:

1) We should vote for Craster before the deadline
2) Anyone who received info should let the group know, unless it puts them at unreasonable risk
3) Anyone who is going to press a button today should tell us what they are going to do.

Grim... - You should press a different number today.

If you are a supah detetcive then that's ace, but there's always a chance that all your choices show as Mafia.

The same safe win condition that someone somehow knew last time something weird happened, and ended up gifting a town to the Cartel?

What are the chances of that?

For the numbers there is the possibility that they are :

Players ordered alphabetically
Players ordered as listed in the main post
Players in some other random order

Cras is the 3rd player both alphabetically and in the player list - others who are in the same place for both are Curio (4) , Davpaz (5) , Mr Russ (10)

Somehow, I am not bothered. So far we know little that is concrete, and I am in no rush to 'vote' for anyone, whatever that entails.

Particularly on a logic chain that does not necessarily hold up.

*Crzzt*
No, but saying "and if it's not true we can kill Grim..." does.
There's a lot of people trying to put words into my mouth, but for all I know the screen might have been simply listing the various teams involved, and have nothing to do with an actual person.

As I made pretty clear - I have no idea. The fact that you think that's enough to a) vote for Craster, and then (more importantly) b) think that in some way makes me bad if he's good just suggests to me that you want to off people as quickly as you can.

And that's fairly telling, I reckon.
*Crzzt*

Yeah, this.
Also, the "unexpected" in the OP, my assumption at the time is that it was unexpected by us as it is rare for a night to pass with no deaths. However, could it be that it was a statement of truth and that the person who placed us here found it unexpected?

Ooh, no - I should press my number. Right?
Then hopefully it will tell me what I am (devastatingly handsome) instead of just my win condition, which is the same as Craster and Mr Dave's.

Or, of course, someone else has buttons that tie numbers to people.

Right, The Vision pressed a button yesterday, but I can't find if he told us which one? TV what button did you press? I assume you got no response? Grim... you should press the same button as TV if he got no response, because that tells us if it is you or the person/button combo which has the effect.

Or, of course, someone else has buttons that tie numbers to people.

How do you know which number is yours? Are you just going off the alphabetical list?

That or the player list. I'm 7 on that.

Right, The Vision pressed a button yesterday, but I can't find if he told us which one? TV what button did you press? I assume you got no response? Grim... you should press the same button as TV if he got no response, because that tells us if it is you or the person/button combo which has the effect.

I pressed number 16 and got no response.

Okay. Wouldn't it be sensible for you to reveal the whole list to us?

That would rather be revealing the list to bad guys too though, assuming they don't have it. Also assuming Curio isn't one.

That would give the baddies a kill list. I am hopeful that they do not possess the list, so are firing blindly.

I could be persuaded otherwise.
