As the next-gen approaches, what should collectors be keeping for the display shelf? I ask because playing my latest lemon Marvel Superhero Squad Comic Combat for the uDraw has made me think that I really should keep it as a niche game for a unsuccessful peripheral.

I've heard that Catherine is becoming a rarer title to get hold of, both on Xbox and PS3. What else should we be hoarding?

Ni No Kuni special edition already seems to be hard to find , I guess some of it will depend on what actually sold well vs what had a lot of stuff put into it and then was a mess - so possibly those limited edition Aliens Colonial Marines stuff ?

There are loads of copies of Catherine in the nearby HMV, which is having a closing down sale. Unfortunately, they have gone the route of increasing all their prices by 30%, and then having a 30% off sale, thus rendering almost all of their games still far too expensive.

Many Nintendo games go up in value over time. Just look at Metroid Prime trilogy or Paper Mario. Or some Fire Emblem games.

The same could be said for Atlus games.

The only things I could think I'd want to save from the Wii would be the first party stuff. Possibly Madworld as it was different.

I think I'm going to order Tales of Vas Defrens, as it seems to be a rarer title in physical form.

According to HUKD, closing HMVs have recently gone to 50% off all games.

But minyerrrrr... it'd mean having to sit(lie) in the front room playing a game. That's wrong.

Might have another look. They probably put the prices up again to compensate.

This is interesting and I wish I could tell what's going to be collectible and what isnt. Looking at previous generations, I've missed out on some stuff that I could have picked up cheap while working at Game.

Kirbys air ride on the Gamecube springs to mind as I was looking on eBay for Gamecube games the other day. It seemed to be going for a lot more than it should.
