I bought my NAS of DocG quite a while ago, it has been a great work horse.

it is a Dlink DNS-323 and has decided not to download bit torrents. As the little fella is quite old it is out of support.

Can any one recommend a new NAS- i was looking at #productDetails" class="postlink">dlink on amazon

I am happy to go for another make. I have copied all the stuff of the NAS as I am going to rebuild it tonight..

I believe 'Illmatic' is considered to be one of his best.

I can only RMD a Buffalo Linkstation, because that's what I've got. The built-in media sharing and uTorrent client was most useful while I still did stuff like that.

Bought one of those for my dad, they are great for the money. Only thing I didn't like was the copy speed (around 10-15MB)

I used Thecus NAS at home which of course cost many times more than this one, so I get faster copy speeds.

Other that that well worth the money.

I have a Ready NAS Duo (old version). It's pretty good for most things although I almost broke it the other day just by changing the subnet mask and IP. Which worried me a little as I had to do a full reset and you can't read the HD data in a standard disc caddy. Other than that it's been running fine for the past 3 years or so.

What's Curio got to do with computer-aided design?

What's Grim... got to do with the rope going around the edge of a cricket ground, designed to show the delimiting line for where a 4 or 6 has been scored?

The only advice I can give you is that I have a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ V2 and it is fucking awful, so don't get one of those.

Ok..

NAS has finally died.. The power block does not light up, making the NAS not power up.

Do I buy a new block £20 or pay a bit more and upgrade the NAS. I know I will have to rebuild it.

I am thinking the power block might be the way to go...
