Is there a Zelda port on Live? You want that Nintendo kid friendly adventure game feel I guess.

Fable is more cartoony, but most will have killing of some sort.

What about the new Epic Mickey game? Apart from that though, the lego games seem ideal.

Looking through my 'played' list the only kid-friendly stuff on there at all is Lego Indiana Jones, Tin-Tin, The Unfinished Swan, Stacking and LittleBigPlanet. I'm not sure any of them constitute adventure games like the ones you list though, and some of these aren't even out on the Xbox. So, um, no idea I'm afraid.

Although Tin-Tin is cracking fun and thoroughly recommended, although obviously pretty easy. Well, the main game is; some of the challenges and the impressively weird dream levels are rock hard.

Minecraft ?

Looking down my list of games

Costume Quest (the fighting might be a little grindy but its a great game)
Stacking (puzzle game - might be a little complex)
Rayman Origins (platformer)
Bomberman (arcadey)
Plants Vs Zombies

There are obviously a lot of driving or arcade style games as well which wouldn't really have much 'killing' or combat

Toy Story 3 is epic. The kids love it (6 and 4) and I do too.

What was the name of that very colourful 360 game that launched with the console, it was made by Rare. I played it — it was pretty but very easy so it could be perfect. Hmmm — quick rummage on the internet. Kameo: Elements of Power. That could be perfect for a 9 year old girl.

Kov, if the big boy games are too scary, just say so. No need to invent a child :)
