Tell them you know an amazing author in London, in whom they should be very interested. Mention the phrase 'bidding war'.

How many sisters do you have?

One.

Bidding war starting badly for you.

And four step sisters.

Fuck you Sky. Fuck you. That's the last time I'm paying for tv that the shitty box fucking deletes itself.

Free Talktalk YouView box ordered (already with them). More channels and £25 cheaper a month. Only SD for now but fuck it.

Quietly unfollowing people i thought were cleverer than that on twitter for "political reasoning and comments i could not possibly begin to endorse" is the best course of Action which no longer occupies almost all my thoughts. Sorry, mark steel, good as you are.

TalkTalk have been my broadband and telephone supplier for the last 5 years, not like I'm switching to them, just getting the telly.

Green screen is for nerds. Having been a C64 power user, I naturally opted for colour. All 16 of them.

Where's my fuel can? Eh? Eh? Gave it to you 5 and a half hours ago. You only had a 2 minute walk back!

If I go down there in the morning and see it dumped by the side of the road I'll be cross.

The 'Tractor ambush' episode of Interceptor has just started on Challenge. That sequence is possibly my favourite 5 minutes of TV ever.

Probably why I get frustrated with people who use Twitter to discuss politics. The world is way too complicated to boil down to 140 characters, unless you basically want to say 'I like X', 'I don't like X'. And then get angry because someone thinks the opposite to you.

Some very bold comments from a colleague at work today.

"We've not talked about valentines, so I don't need to get a card. When you're dating I can see it, but we're married now, so what's the point right?"

The last of the brave fools, there.

I'm considering trying to get the rest of the team to stand and silently salute when he leaves, with one person quietly bugling Taps out of the side of his mouth.

Oh, yeah, gouging bastards. As i am all very lonely at the moment and it is quite cold up ehre because they can't get doors to fit in the North, I arrived home and turned the heating on last night. After that, I then left the house and went to do my shopping. Walking back I thought "You deserve a beer, malia, as you are going to eat proper food* and not a nuke meal tonight". So, i pop into the pub on the way home and say "Bartender, please could I have a pint of landlord" and eh says "Here you are that is £2.75" and I gave him £2.75 to conclude the transaction. I read my book for a bit and quite enjoyed the experience and thought "I could have another" so went up to the bar and asked for a pint of landlord and he said "That is £2.90" "BUT WAIT A MINUTE!" I said, "it was £2.75 not twenty minutes ago!". "The price goes up after 6pm" he says. I was annoyed.

Petrol can update:

It has still not been returned, There is also now MASSIVE DAMAGE to the verge at the bottom of our road presumably where the tow truck had to recover the car. However since the landowner is a cock I don't really care.

I will never do a good deed for anyone ever again. I believe if Jesus was alive today he'd feel the same. :attitude:

For what it's worth, I did a similar good deed last year. Had a bloke knock on the door saying he'd noticed a hose in my back yard (there's a bit of a communal bit round the back of the houses so I wasn't too concerned about him having noticed) and asked if he could borrow it. It wasn't mine anyway as it was here when I moved in, so didn't think too much about lending it to someone. That was the last I saw of him and the hose.

With having the hose and a wheelie bin nabbed now, I've realised that people will nick anything.

Thank you for birthday wishes, folks! I have just eaten some very tasty Portuguese food and will spend an enjoyable evening pondering which HDTV I want to buy for my games room.
