Big Finish are doing some new Blakes 7 audio dramas with the original cast. Lovely to see them together but a stark reminder of the frailty of the human condition, especially with Jacqueline Pearce undergoing cancer treatment (hence the lack of hair). Hard to believe B7 is now as old as I am!

The Big Finish stories are set after Gan was killed off. Which is handy as David Jackson died 7 or so years ago.

The bigger problem will be the lack of Peter Tuddenham to voice Orac and Zen.

My garden incinerator got so hot earlier the side started glowing red. I found this pleasing.

Incidentally why do they coat these things in zinc when zinc melts at 415c? All you end up with is molten zinc running down the side and forming a puddle of metal on the grass.

I would assume that they galvanise it to prevent corrosion. Zinc is the sacrificial metal which will rust away first.

But one that will melt as soon as you use the thing. Which seems odd.

It's still puffing away out there bless it.

That's all well and good right up until the hill explodes and you get incinerated by pyroclastic flow.

Swim for your life.

Unlesss there's zombies in the water. In which case I'm out of ideas.

Wedding planning: not fun. At all. Hitting road block after road block. On the plus side, we've decided to book all the accomodation at the place for people, as this'll drop it down to c£65 per person for the night.

Note to call centre operatives: when I asked for a location in 'Oxford', I mean the city, not 'Oxford Circus' or 'Oxford Road'. It has a university - you might have heard of it.

It also has an airport that thinks it's in London.

Yeah, this is always happening, they should have the driver upstairs. Not only would these sort of accidents be prevented but he would have better visibility. I think I might invent this.

Two bits of string tied to the steering wheel and a broomstick for the pedals. Sorted.

Galvanized steel is only good up to about 200 deg C so I'd be surprised if that's really what it is. Don't breathe the fumes!

When I was down there on Friday I witnessed one person do a Norman Wisdom comedy stumble just walking into a cafe. There was no step or anything.

Could it have been the zinc glowing?

It looked like the effect in Doctor Who where the baddies melt their way through metal doors.

So what you're saying is that the whole bus thing was an elaborate piece of automotive slapstick? They must put something in the water down there.

I said no thanks, he has just come back offering me £110. Strange offer considering he can get a pristine one for the same price ;)

Ebay is amusing. I won't be selling to him, as I now have a policy of not dealing with dicks regardless of what they offer, which makes life on ebay surprisingly less stressful.
