Syndicate is garbage.

It's alright. It's not Syndicate by any stretch of the imagination. Pretty standard shoot-em-up but far from bad.

There's a teleporting boss that knocks you on your arse and plays Skrillex at you. There's lots of "Mash buttons to open door" sequences. There's invisible walls all over the place, and it's got nice looking but incredibly shallow linear levels.

I predict Sims 4 will feature, at most, four different wall coverings, two haricuts, one item of furniture. The rest will be DLC.

Plus, the only enjoyable way to play The Sims, is to get Grimm... to play it and tell us what happened.

Today's free Android Amazon app is Final Freeway 2R, which is a nifty Out Run clone. I've not played it for more than 30 seconds yet, but it seems as polished as the original Final Freeway that they gave away last year.

I yoinked it this morning but haven't had a chance to play it yet. I seem to remember playing the demo of the original and thinking it quite well done. As long as there's an option for some kind of on-screen controls because fuck tilt-to-steer.

The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window - I bought this one, but have not started it yet. The kindle cheap books are awesome, these deals on the good books. I bought "Mr Blue: Memoirs of a Renegade" by Edward Bunker last night and it is interesting and enjoyable. Esecially at 99p.
